Default 9/2: Saratoga (Day 40-Hopeful, Glens Falls)

With weather turning horrific in the 'foothills of the Adirondacks', closing day at the Spa will be pretty messy. But after approximately 37 days of spectacular weather and entertaining, rewarding racing, we can't really complain. The conclusion of the summer holiday and Spa stand comes after a tumultuous weekend that saw the death of a blue collar star, accusations of buzzer use in the Travers, Woodward and Forego upsets and a gloriously popular Spinaway win by a stunning Leah Gyarmati filly. Will not have enough time for elaboration in print, so I'll have to do the summarizing live on the radio this morning...

Very good day at the windows Sunday and we'll hope Day 40 isn't too badly impacted by the weather as to render it moot. 2013 season was intense and challenging and positive overall. Hope everyone enjoyed the coverage and found success along the way...

Default Appreciation

Thank you lots and lots boss. The meet ended the way it started, because of you. That 3 hoss in the hopeful was beautiful. $104 on a voucher get home from a funeral. My brother says the card is all scratched up, Ask him about the Hopeful. he says it's intact. I tell him box 17910. he says the 10 hoss is slow and the 6 hoss must be included. Who's the boss like ? Now I see the 3 hoss 20-1 on top. So i say box 1 3 6 7 9, **** the 10. This is the perfect example of one of us using all your hard work to make a nice score to end the meet. I am grateful and thank you. And my wife thanks you too. Says I'm much happier when I'm winning. Go figure.

Told Tina to bet a little something on Tina's Note but she didn't... She would have if Typhoon Teri had stayed in. Teri is her sister's name!

Thanks a lot. I take it seriously year-round but always want to do the best possible here..

And yes, it's a special part of the country and time of year in these parts.

That's really great to hear... Glad you used Casiguapo! I played him to win and backwheeled him with all for the nice exacta. I thought the thing was impossibly wide open which is why I reached for the shipper and went 'all' in the P4. Was a great little closing boost to end the meet.

Words are not enough to express the gratitude from this "young in experiance" horseplayer for all your hard work and dedication to this great sport. Thanks again for sharing your opinions and thoughts.....
