2/5: Gulfstream Park (6th-10th)
Traded dollars around much of the last several days with a couple break even multi plays and a decent bingo here or there. Gulfstream sequence Wednesday looks wildly wide open and could be a bonanza if opinions can tie together.
GULFSTREAM PARK POST-SCRATCHES 6th: CLM/N2L, 4+, 7.5f-T/36' (P5, P3, DD) Took a long time for Dreamalot to break maiden and as a late runner, he needs clean trips to succeed. Desormeaux got one 2 back and then found problem after problem last time. Hess dips the 6yo NY-bred to bottom and there should be enough pace to set 5-1 Bernardini gelding up for his run. Have no idea about Edwin Feurtado and his story, but if Kimmel's Coexist is close to ready, he should be competitive here.. Most Likely: #5 Dreamalot 5-1 (A) 2nd Next Best: #8 A Nice Rendition 12-1 (B) 4th Best Value: #3 Rey Rocket 20-1 (B) 8th Exotics Use: #10 Coexist 10-1 (C) 3rd 7th: MCLM/$16k, 4+, 8.5f-T/96' (P4, P3, DD) Utter head-scratcher here with principal players Underestimate Me (3-1) and Magnificent Moon (8-1) returning at bottom level from 13 and 19 month absences. Race is so inscrutable that consistent Rockitude (10-1) is a consideration despite 0-for-2013 Sharon McGlinchey (48 starts). An amazing inclusion in the lineup is Profound, the Street Cry-Hollywood Wildcat colt originally bought by Ben Leon for $925k at KEE Sept '11. After one start and a layup, Leon moved the half brother of War Chant to Eddie Plesa and the Plesas now own him. Claim him for $16k and start your own breeding operation with him.. Most Likely: #2 Discreet Ed 8-1 (A) 4th Best Value: #7 Magnificent Moon 8-1 (B) 9th Next Best: #11 To Dare Is to Do 4-1 (B) 7th Exotics Use: #8 Profound 6-1 (C) WON ($22.00) 8th: CLM/N2L, 4+, 1m-T/36' (P3, DD) Another deep, well-matched group.. Most Likely: #1 Chairman Garey 4-1 (A) WON ($5.00) Best Value: #3 Rapacious 15-1 (A) 6th Next Best: #9 B E Boston Strong 6-1 (B) 10th Exotics Use: #5 Forever Conga 12-1 (B) 4th 9th: ALW/OC, 4+, 8.5f (DD) Race of the Day at DRF and easily an event that could have a name on it with slew of stakes runners involved.. Most Likely: #4 Atigun 3-1 (A) 3rd Best Value: #7 Speak Logistics 6-1 (A) 8th Next Best: #8 Suns Out Guns Out 4-1 (B) 2nd Exotics Use: #2 Golden Lad 5-2 (B) WON ($6.00) 10th: MCLM/$25k, 3yo, 1m-T/36' (Super Hi-5) Most Likely: #1 Strategic Keeper 5-2 (A) 2nd Best Value: #3 Headwing 10-1 (B) 6th Next Best: #4 Laws of the City 8-1 (C) 3rd Exotics Use: #10 Malibu Blues 12-1 (C) WON ($9.40) <$60 P5 Play: All A Entries 1 $0.50 pick P5: 5 with 2,7 with 1,3 with 4,7 with 1 - $4.00 A's with One B 2 $0.50 pick P5: 8,10 with 2,7 with 1,3 with 4,7 with 1 - $8.00 3 $0.50 pick P5: 5 with 4,11 with 1,3 with 4,7 with 1 - $4.00 4 $0.50 pick P5: 5 with 2,7 with 1,3 with 2 with 1 - $2.00 A's with Two B's 5 $0.50 pick P5: 8,10 with 4,11 with 1,3 with 4,7 with 1 - $8.00 6 $0.50 pick P5: 8,10 with 2,7 with 1,3 with 2 with 1 - $4.00 7 $0.50 pick P5: 5 with 4,11 with 1,3 with 2 with 1 - $2.00 A's with One C 8 $0.50 pick P5: 3 with 2,7 with 1,3 with 4,7 with 1 - $4.00 9 $0.50 pick P5: 5 with 3,6,8 with 1,3 with 4,7 with 1 - $6.00 10 $0.50 pick P5: 5 with 2,7 with 5,9 with 4,7 with 1 - $4.00 11 $0.50 pick P5: 5 with 2,7 with 1,3 with 8 with 1 - $2.00 12 $0.50 pick P5: 5 with 2,7 with 1,3 with 4,7 with 2,3,10 - $12.00 Total: $60.00 <$65 P4 Play: All A Entries 1 $1.00 pick P4: 2,4 with 1,3 with 4,7 with 1 - $8.00 A's with One B 2 $0.50 pick P4: 6,7,11 with 1,3 with 4,7 with 1 - $6.00 3 $0.50 pick P4: 2,4 with 5 with 4,7 with 1 - $2.00 4 $0.50 pick P4: 2,4 with 1,3 with 2,8 with 1 - $4.00 A's with Two B's 5 $0.50 pick P4: 6,7,11 with 5 with 4,7 with 1 - $3.00 6 $0.50 pick P4: 6,7,11 with 1,3 with 2,8 with 1 - $6.00 7 $0.50 pick P4: 2,4 with 5 with 2,8 with 1 - $2.00 A's with One C 8 $0.50 pick P4: 3,8,10 with 1,3 with 4,7 with 1 - $6.00 9 $0.50 pick P4: 2,4 with 6,7,9,11,12 with 4,7 with 1 - $10.00 10 $0.50 pick P4: 2,4 with 1,3 with 6 with 1 - $2.00 11 $0.50 pick P4: 2,4 with 1,3 with 4,7 with 3,4,10 - $12.00 Total: $61.00 Good luck! In the 8th race today, I have been following a horse for quite a while in Rapacious. In alot of his races, he was impossible to settle and giving the jock fits and I thought he would be a decent claim if they were to give up on him for 25-40k. I would be shocked if he wasn't gelded during this break and I expect him to run a good race today at should be no where near his ML of 15/1.
