Default Oracle- Mets

Are you as bored with the NLCS as I am? I fell asleep after 5 very boring innings and I guessed I missed a 2 run HR. Snoozzzzze.
This whole postseason has been a huge disappointment to me. Last year's was way better and this coming from a fan of a team who got swept by the White Sox in the 1st round.

I don't see how the winner can't come from the American League, I really can't. You and I both watch the AL all year long and watch all the teams when they play the Sox and Yanks.
I don't watch much NL throughout the year, but in watching the playoffs they look nowhere CLOSE to the talent level in either pitching or hitting that the AL teams have.
I'm not counting the A's out yet. 7 game series enable a team to play a couple of bad games and get back on track. But whether its the Tigers or the A's I don't see the World Series taking longer than 5 games.

I'm beginning to wonder if the Tigers will ever lose again! Talk about the best time to reel off 5 straight wins. Tonight they have Kenny Rogers and while he may come down to earth a bit after his last performance, the A's dont have the hitters the Yankees had so another great performance could be coming again. What the A's need is Haren to come out and completely shut Detroit down. The A's cant win games when they allow their opponents more than 4 runs. They are not like the Yankees, Red Sox and Mets. Their strength lies in starting pitching and so far its not delivering. A's have certainly had their chances but are leaving tons of guys on base. It can be habit forming. I once saw the Red Sox strand 17 guys in one game, not kidding.

A's only have a shot if Frank can start bashing balls. They aren't much without him.Their pitching and defense has let them down. That new guy playing 2nd base is killing their morale. When this team gives up an unearned run,it is like carving a testicle off them.I guarantee you that missing that important double play(that prolonged the inning in game 1) hurts their morale more than anything else.

Yes, Chavez should have clearly turned that double play. It was hit perfectly and he was focusing more on what he was going to do when he got the ball than he was on actually catching it. His eyes were already on the 2nd baseman and the ball hadnt even gotten to him.

I hope the A's can make this a series in this obvious must win tonight.

Who is your team?

I went to the Met game last night and it was awesome. Even the guy that posts here as George Washington loved it and he is a reds fan. The real Mets fan Nostra was off cleaning stalls in KY.

If you like lots of runs, you should have watched the Yankees games. They were giving up lots of them. The saddest thing is if the Yankees would have won their pitcher would not have died in a plane crash. He would have been getting ready for a playoff game that night.

Mets-Tigers WS. Mets in 7 (although the Mets have not lost yet in a playoff game, so maybe Mets in 4). The Mets win tonight against Carpenter and I will be a believer.

Sounds like a losing Yankee fan. The Mets have not lost yet. They are riding an 8 game win streak. Unlike the Yankees, the Mets won't choke and lose at home.

That last game of the Yankee series was pathetic. No fight in that team. Rolled over and died. That looked like a team the Mets would have swept in 3, just like they did the dodgers.

None, and I mean none of you ever contribute anything but bile here, so what is the point. Is life that boring?
It is the sad truth. I have around 170 posts over a few months, you over a thousand, and you are telling me life is boring.

If Oracle would stop sending me his childlike PM's, I wouldn't attack him.

I live on Long Island and my housemate takes me to Belmont in the morning all the time. I am allowed to post and learn.

You guys seem to want a little playground where you can play and others can't, and you want Steve Byk to pay for your playground.

Hey Oracle, HOW ABOUT THEM YANKEES!!!!!!!!

As I sit down to watch the Mets on Nostra's TV, I can't help but wonder where the Yankees are. Early tee times for the Yankees tomorrow?

I post here because I like the radio show. The truth is I see no reason to post here. It seems like it is 10 people patting themselves on the back. For you Oracle Wannebe, I will stick with the two other sites and MLB.com.

The two idiots sitting next to me have made me feel guilty for raining on your fun.

How old are you, and are you married? It says you are 37. Do you have a wife? If not, let me guess why. You like the guys. Nothing wrong with that dude. I prefer the ladies, but I don't think you need to hide you sexuality.

This all makes sense now, your anger in your posts is really hiding your sexuality.

I bet you are a family values guy too, but people will still like you when you come out. So which jockey do you find most attractive? Garret Gomez?

I bet you really like that Derek Jeter.
