Breeders Cup Info and discussion right here
Yes I'm still alive and hope to defend my BC Gallivan Cup Crown. More to follow. We are tucked away in our new apartment in the sky and almost all unpacked. Now we just need to find a few more places to stash stuff in the 1BR abode.
Since we don't get TVG any more, I haven't heard how all the fires might be impacting the races this weekend. Any news to share?

Welcome back Don Guido!! I'm glad to hear that your move has been completed.
So far, it does not appear that any of the California wildfires will have an impact on the weekend's racing. I do, however, have my fingers crossed that whatever gremlins have affected the SA racing surface don't manifest themselves on the 2 days when the world will be watching. Sorry that your current cable provider doesn't carry TVG. To compensate, drf.com now offers all of their news articles and video clips free of charge, and they have a wealth of material on each of the BC races. You might want to check them out. Oh, yes, DRF is also sponsoring a handicapping contest on Saturday with a single grand prize of $1,000,000. "All" you have to do is have all 9 winners by making a single pick in each race. |

I think we can safely say that nobody will win that contest unless it's our friend Roamin or maybe that lucky lady, Ruffian or maybe our host, Steve Byk. I always try to look at as few races as possible on BC days to keep my head from exploding, but curiosity gets the best of me and I end up handicapping too many. This year I've handicapped races 6 through 12 on Saturday and also looked at the Juvy on Friday as this often has implications for the Kentucky Derby.

I don't know about that. Your play this year has been phenomenal. , but you're right it would have to be down right otherworldly to win that contest. I've seen contests like that before, but the version that I saw was to pick all 20 or so Kentucky Derby horses in order of finish which, of course is equally impossible. Fun to try maybe, but chances of hitting the Megabucks lottery might be as good.

Sorry to ruin your repast ma'am, but I try not to miss too many opportunities to use purple prose.

Exploding Heads. Sounds like it should be a heavy metal band.

Here are the top ten going for the BC Gallivan Cup. Since I have limited access to entries and all other important Friday and Saturday race information, I will ask JB to put up the Threads for Fridays card and Saturdays Cards, BC Races Only.
After the results I will post the Handicapping Year Champion, including BC races and the Winner of the Gallivan Cup. As always, RQ will handle the much more complex ROI totals and ROI Champion of the Year. Good luck and have fun. THE TOP TEN GOING FOR THE CUP 1. 633 JolyB 2. 611 Ruffian-333 3. 370 Cal828 4. 283 Real Quiet 5. 257 DonGuido 6. 253 Plenilune 7. 230 Cruzan200246 8. 222 Roamin42 9. 132 Indian Hemp 10 59 NJ Stinks
