Default ROI Results 8/26 @ Saratoga

Once again we witnessed the best and the worst of racing at Saratoga on Saturday and I can't
make any sense of it. Horses love to run and love to run fast. The people in charge have to come
up with solutions to make it safer. Everybody says it. It just has to get done. The status quo is not
good enough. The card was exciting, most of the racing was awesome and as a group we visited
the mutuel window 6 times. Cal and Zippy caught small winners but you had to show a profit if
you wanted to share in the points awarded. DonGuido caught a trifecta in race 7 to finish fourth
and went home with a small profit. Joly B gets the show spot with a small exacta that he had
60 times for a nice profit of $80. Real Quiet takes second place with an exacta in race 4 and
a key scratch. As they say, "sometimes you eat the bear and sometimes the bear eats you".
Cruzan feasted this Saturday and the bear went hungry. In the 6th Cruzan put $25 to win on
the nose of Bear Oak and was rewarded with a payout of $37.20 for each deuce bet for a grand
return of $465 and win number 5 on the season. From there to the wire Cruzan was on Cruz
Control and withstood all challenges. Congrats on the win Cruzan. Nicely played. Following
are the unofficial results pending a review.

Congrats to all those that made a profit. Would like to expound on the horrific breakdown of that horse last weekend, but what can you say to make it better? Just hope the powers that be can find a way. Santa Anita seems to have gotten a handle on the problem there, but don't know if the same methods would work a continent away with different weather and climate, soil, etc. Very frustrating for fans, horsemen, riders, and racetrack people alike.

Gonna get off here now. Woke up with eye problems today that I haven't had in about 20 years. Probably spending way too much time starring at computer screens.

AFTER THE TEARS
After The Tears Have Stopped Falling
After The Heartaches Subside...
My Mind Is Asking The Question...
Why Many Good Horses Have Died?

Is It The Breeding Or Training?
Is It The Fault Of The Track?
Is It The Greed And The Money?
Or Only The Conscience We Lack?

Why Are The Legs Oh So Fragile
That Two And Three Year Olds Die?
Why Can't The Doctors Repair Them?
And, Worse Yet, Why Don't They Try?

Is Insurance Money The Answer?
And To Save Them Not Worth The Price?
Is Saving Our Beautiful Horses
Worth Less Than The Toss Of The Dice?

Some Say It's Part Of The Game Now
It's Simply The Price We Must Pay!
My Heart Tells Me
Something Quite Different
It Says That We Must Find A Way.....

A Way To Develop More Soundness
A Way To Have Youngsters Grow Old!
A Way To Secure A Safe Future
For All Of The Dreams That We Hold.

So, After The Tears Have Stopped Falling
And, After The Heartaches Subside
Let's All Seek To Find Honest Answers
Of Why Those We Loved
Now Have Died.

OR MAYBE IT'S THE NEW GENIE LAMP I HAVE. LOL. I ACTUALLY WON $314.00 WITH A $10 W/P/S BET I PLACED WITH UPINCLASS FORUM.
TOO BAD THIS CONTEST STARTED WITH RACE #3 BECAUSE I ALSO HAD #4 FEATHERS ROAD..WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN MY FIRST ROI PICK.

Cruzan in the ROI you can wager on any race even if it's not in the points contest. Did you have any of those horses in the Saratoga 40 at Up In Class?

Race #2 Feathers Road
Race # 3 Kylander
Race #5 Bear Oak
Race #6 Lady De Berry
Race #10 Dr. B
Race #11 Pioneering Spirit
Race $12 Tapit Price

These Are My Picks From Upinclass. Unfortunately I Was Not Credited For Race #2 Because It Was Put In Late.
Too Bad Also I Missed The Deadline For Horsetourneys Contest R#1 To Rac#13. I Would Have Won Big

AND NO, I WAS NOT AWARE THAT I COULD CHOOSE FROM ANY RACE THAT WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE CONTEST
