Friday FG 4
Race 7) Race taken off the lawn and the cleverly named Miner's Lamp (former employer Overbrook has contest every year among its help to name its yearlings) looks awful salty. Seeking the Gold colt bet way down for debut, then came back to smoke maidens. Tossed to the sharks by the weasel, homebred lost four in a row to tough stakeswinners. Freshened for trip to the spa and closed stoutly, but caught a flier out of gate opening day in Lexington and speed crumbled. In last, dropped a picture to twelve timer "Funky. Also Cozt Aside who looked a runner in his debut was stretched, but anytime Gone West is up close in a pedigree the offspring can run any distance, any surface, or not! Speed Source is also on the ticket as the track was floated and speed should be tough today and internal fractions off the shelf in last very spritely. Three deep.
8) Middle leg of three way maiden split lures Izzie's Halo for Amoss and he is the one to beat, yet Halo's Image colt is a tough ride and gets his fifth jock in his last five tries. So adding Freeburn who has competed each start. 9) Another off the turf heat and both Between the Clouds and Formal Rush have had success...the others strongly appear turf only. 10) Rightly Royal is very interesting for a gelding who was smoked in his only start. He is owned by top class pin hooker Becky Thomas and only brought 20K from a select sale. In his debut he chased hot fractions while way wide and got tired. Ten days out a maintenance breeze, seven days later a stiff five panels in company with Private Vow that featured a nice gallop out. Seven days later a very good drill, then seven days later a very good finish while working by himself. Entered 11/25/06 CD but stuck on the also's...looks very live for Blasi and we'll single here. Good cappin. BBB |
