Default Monday night Football Colts vs Bengals

Well I went to the game last night and man was it a boring game. Peyton just ripped the Bengals pass defense (if you want to call it that) to shreds. The Colts looked like the were participating in a walk through. The Bengals were completely out of character. I have no clue what they were doing. I think they thought they could control the game by running the ball. I was looking forward to a good ole shoot out but didnt get it. I hate when you anticipate a game and it turns out to be way below expectations.

Bengals looked awful, it was poor game planning, they decided to ram the ball down their throats and leave the middle open for Manning to dissect them...Then when they had to pass, they were out of rythm and it also didn't help to miss be missing 2 Pro Bowl Tackles on the O-line, looks like they will both be back next Sunday...Indy was embarrassed last week and came out and played like a team with something to prove and they did, I still think the Bengals will go far in the Playoffs...

Very difficult for Bengals to make the playoffs now...they face a "must" win this week in a very tough place to do so...then face the Steelers while the Jets have to get by Miami but finish with Oakland...Bengals don't win out and they will be watching the playoffs! The wild card race is well named...wild and wooly!

I don't think it's a must win, a win would lock it up, but in reality I think they can win one more and get in, look at the scenarios:

WILD CARD AT A GLANCE:

The 8-6 Bengals fall from the No. 5 seed to the No. 6 seed in the AFC playoffs behind Denver. But they get a shot at the Broncos in the next five days for the all-or-nothing game. If they beat Denver, the tiebreker gives the edge to the Bengals if they finish with the same record.

Bengals (8-6 overall, 6-3 in AFC, 4-3 at home, 4-2 on road)
Dec. 24 at Denver (8-6 overall, 7-4 in AFC, 3-3 at home)
Dec. 31 Pittsburgh (7-7 overall, 4-6 in AFC, 2-5 on road)
FOES: 15-13

Denver (8-6 overall, 7-4 in AFC, 3-3 at home, 5-3 on road)
Dec. 24 Cincinnati (8-5, 6-3 in AFC, 4-2 on road)
Dec. 31 San Francisco (6-8, 2-5 on road)
FOES: 14-13

Jets (8-6 overall, 5-5 in AFC, 3-4 at home, 5-2 on road)
Dec. 25 at Miami (6-8, 3-7 in AFC, 4-3 at home)
Dec. 31 Raiders (2-12, 1-9 in AFC, 0-7 on road)
FOES: 8-20

Jacksonville (8-6 overall, 5-5 in AFC, 6-1 at home, 2-5 on road
Dec. 24 New England (10-4, 6-4 in AFC, 5-1 on road)
Dec. 31 at Kansas City (7-7, 3-7 in AFC, 5-2 at home)
FOES: 17-11

Kansas City (7-7 overall, 3-7 in AFC, 5-2 at home, 2-5 on road)
Dec. 23 at Oakland (2-12 overall, 1-9 in AFC, 2-5 at home)
Dec. 31 Jacksonville (8-6 overall, 5-5 in AFC, 2-5 on road)
FOES: 10-18

Pittsburgh (7-7 overall, 4-6 in AFC, 5-2 at home, 2-5 on road)
Dec. 24 Baltimore (11-3 overall, 8-2 in AFC, 5-2 on road)
Dec. 31 at Cincinnati (8-5 overall, 6-3 in AFC, 4-3 at home)
FOES: 19-8

Buffalo (7-7 overall, 5-5 in AFC, 4-3 at home, 3-4 on road)
Dec. 24 Tennessee (7-7 overall, 4-6 in AFC, 3-4 on road)
Dec. 31 at Baltimore (11-3 overall, 8-2 in AFC, 6-1 at home)
FOES: 18-10

Tennessee (7-7 overall, 4-6 in AFC, 4-3 at home, 3-4 on road)
Dec. 24 at Buffalo (7-7 overall, 5-5 in AFC, 4-3 at home)
Dec. 31 New England (10-4 overall, 6-4 in AFC, 5-1 on road)
FOES: 17-11

I figure the Jets lose to Miami and if the Bengals win one game they are in...

I cant believe Pitt has an outside chance. Cincy has to win at least 1 game. At home against Pitt isnt going to be easy. What is nice is that Jacksonville has to play at KC. I think the Bengals, Jets, Steelers, Chiefs all end up 9-7. The game that irks me about the Bengals is when they lost to Tampa after their buy week. No excuse for that. And of course the Chargers game.

I can't believe Buffalo has an outside chance! If all those teams wind up 9-7 as well as the Bills they would get in. Winning at Baltimore in Week 17 is a huge task though.

Well the thing about the game against Balt is that Balt is going to sit most of their players if they are locked into seed 2 or 3. If Balt is playing for seed 2 then Buffalo can forget it. But yeah, I cant believe the Bills have a chance. UNREAL. And what about San Fran having a chace to win their division. Seattle plays San Diego at home and they play at Tampa. San Fran is at home against Arizona and then at Denver.

Pitt will beat the Ravens to a pulp this weekend, those two teams hate each other, the Ravens are an old team and will be hitting the wall, looking at the scenarios, Buffalo might be in the best spot...The Bengals beat the Ravens after they palyed Pitt, I think they were softened up from that game...

Baltimore might be playing for a bye, something that team desperately needs, the porblem is the Steelers will beat them up this weekend win or lose...

Imagine Tenn and Buffalo getting the wild cards. Now that would be weird.

I agree with you on that 100%. If Pitt gets to the playoffs, they could be a very scary team.

Nothing surprises me in the NFC. There is one very good team, two decent teams and a whole bunch of mediocre to bad teams. New Orleans went 1-3 against the AFC yet could be the 2 seed in the NFC. St Louis and San Francisco have to be two of the worst 6-8 teams in the history of the league.

Have to see that game. Should be great. Two energized rolling teams back from the dead battling to maybe make the playoffs. WHo the hell would have thought that possible a couple of months ago?
I'll say this, Buffalo is a crazy diehard football town, and they haven't had a game this important in a LONG time. I expect the stadium to be rocking with crazy Bills fans.

As a Bengals fan, hopefully Tenn wins, but I don't see it...

Hopefully, they are a 1 oclock game and then the Bengals and Denver at 4pm, wouldn't be a bad Christmas Eve, I could drink myself into a stupor and ignore the in-laws like I usually do...

It will be interesting to see what size crowd they get with it being Christmas Eve. There were 18,000 tickets available as of yesterday. Most of them will sell but I highly doubt it will end up a sellout, although the game will almost certainly blacked out which will lead to more people buying tickets late like this weeks game. This week there were still 4,000 tickets left until the blackout was announced and then 3,000 more were sold by gametime. Regardless of the size of the crowd it will be one pumped up crowd.

Chicago at Detroit 1:00 p.m. 121 181
Indianapolis at Houston 1:00 p.m. 144 147
New England at Jacksonville 1:00 p.m. 123 146
New Orleans at N.Y. Giants 1:00 p.m. 110 125
Tampa Bay at Cleveland 1:00 p.m. 152 143
Tennessee at Buffalo 1:00 p.m. 153
Washington at St. Louis 1:00 p.m. 158 119
Arizona at San Francisco 4:05 p.m. 110 143
Cincinnati at Denver 4:15 p.m. 147 130

Wishful thinking myself a Steelers fan
but, losses to the Raiders & Falcons earlier in the season hurt them
Just wished this year that they were in the NFC
