Default ATRAB (1/31): Special Edition

Don't wan't to "jump the shark" promoting tonight's "At the Races", ("Tonight... on a very special 'Blossom'"), but we have a rather fascinating show lined up..

It's a Special Edition entitled "MUTUEL INTERESTS" and will feature 6 of the most insightful and thoughtful minds and voices in Thoroughbred Racing...

Andy Serling..

Ted Mudge..

Jerry Brown..

Steve Crist..

Maury Wolfe..

Andy Beyer..

30 minutes with each as they vocalize what they consider Racing's most pressing issues, how to address them and what the future holds...

Should be well worth listening to...

Internet only 4-7pm, (SIRIUS 125 replays 1-4am and 4-7pm tomorrow..)
http://www.attheracesandbeyond.com (Click on LISTEN LIVE)

To be re-played on SIRIUS as well in next few weeks...

First show I was able to listen to and I enjoyed it a lot.

Steve -
You mentioned the Grand Slam wager which brought back memories of this summer. Sniper & I were standing at the rail after a race at Saratoga and this guy comes up and asks which horse won, we say the number and he is ecstatic to have won the Grand Slam...we look at his ticket and had he played the Pick 4, he would have nailed that too for a very nice payout...the guy was happy though, so that is all that matters.

I'm sure he wasn't too happy when he saw the payouts though since he thought the rules were the same as a Pick Four.

Anyone know how to get this to stream over an XBox 360? I was able to get the new Windows Media Player and Zune and could even play any clips I downloaded to my computer over the 360 but couldn't figure out how to get the live stream to work. If anyone has info please let me know. The sound on my stereo is just a little better than on my laptop.

Steve,

The show kicked major azz. It's rare to get such a good group all on one show and talk about the stuff you went into. I think we need more of this out there in the media. Your show blew away any of the other BS I see on TVG. The people who run TVG could learn a lot on how to put on a show that real race fans can appreciate. It's funny how the trainer suspensions/joke thing came up on the show and today Dutrow got a whopping 7 day suspension. Keep up the good work.

Default dt faithfull..im i little disappointed..

the range of steller guests on atrab today ..the huge news that came out of it..makes me wonder about the loyalty of our group..to get said guests and ask the questions that were asked..was unbelivable..to have these icons on one show was a treat...for all bettors and people who love racing..i just think that our group as a whole did not really step up to the plate and thank the very person who made this show and this site so great..you had our own andy/steve crist/andy beyer/jerry brown/ted mudge/ are you kidding me....tg is about wage war against a certain entity..taking his huge money players in a boycott..i mean this is all huge stuff.....

I for one thank mr byk for his relentless support of this site and the 'game' in general.. hooves..

Default Here, here !

I couldn't agree more. I only listened to the first hour on replay tonight, but was greatly encouraged by Jerry Brown putting his $ where his mouth is. I had read sparingly some articles in regards to just below the threshhold testing out west. I havenot heard a more down to earth realist perpective in quite a while and was impressed. Can't wait to listen to the other 2 hours.

Steve, you've done yoemans service to the game in organizing this program. I thank you .
