Johnny V Picked the Right Horse

6th with Circular was the best of the Pletcher bunch. Congrats Johnny!

Looks like Angel can stay employed as his agent.

pmayjr 05-05-2007 06:50 PM

lol true, I hope the skip the Preakness with him, and use him as maybe the designated party spoiler in the Belmont.

Closing sprinters don't win the Belmont.

Angel could've rode Cowtown today. Hell I could've...Don't think I could hold on, but I would try.

I guess time will tell on that one. What kind of Smart ass'd comment did you have for SS not winnin the Derby?

Just to make sure we're on the same page here, I don't think CQ under any circumstance will beat SS, I'm just sayin wait 5 weeks and try again.

Apparently you missed the "Crow" thread. I'm sorry you bet CQ.

Poor Pletcher.

I dont think there was a ride in the bunch Randall.
I think he covered all the bases.

Balto Star may be the best horse he's taken there.

I think Johnny V is destined to not win the Derby....But Pletcher will.

U could have held on. The horse wasn't running that fast.

Well, if you did fall off, you could have gotten off and outrun him to the wire.

PPerfectfan 05-06-2007 03:49 PM

I really liked Circular Quay but there is no way that he was gonna win comming off that 8 week layoff. But I still think he will continue to be a nice horse.

I would fall off. Jockeys are the best pound for pound athletes in the world. Amazing what they do.

Bobby Fischer 05-06-2007 05:01 PM

this isn't some allowance race. Velasquez was highly expected to ride the Tabor horse for Pletcher.

It would have been awkward if he made any other decision.

Pedigree issues for Scat Daddy , AGS , and Cowtown Cat aside.
