I really liked Circular Quay but there is no way that he was gonna win comming off that 8 week layoff. But I still think he will continue to be a nice horse.

this isn't some allowance race. Velasquez was highly expected to ride the Tabor horse for Pletcher.
It would have been awkward if he made any other decision. Pedigree issues for Scat Daddy , AGS , and Cowtown Cat aside.
