Default Mitt Romney and his white board

Mitt Romney took out a white board today, trying to explain to the assembled press group how he really wasn't destroying Medicare as we know it.

It didn't work. He couldn't do it. And then it just degenerated into his lack of transparency regarding his offshore tax havens, etc.

Obama 2012 later schooled Romney on how the white board should read according to the candidates stated plans for Medicare:

Look..I'll be the first to admit that Joe Biden's gaffes are humorous at best and embarassing at worst, but I would also hope everyone would find humor in Romney's attempts to write on the board, make a mistake, try and correct it, fail at that...then try again to erase the original blob...

This entire campaign from both sides has been an embarrassment and does nothing to foster confidence.
Of course it was funny.

Actually, that is a blatant, bold faced lie by Obama.

But who in their right mind would expect anything less?

That just cost Riot another $5. Obama is a money burner.

Oops, make that $10.

Birds of a feather. They both (she and Obama) are purposely dishonest and deceitful in their approaches to sway the uninformed. Nothing new here.

Maybe she is hoping that her donations will encourage Obama will set up a multi-billion dollar task force to send veterinarians over to Afghanistan to tend to all the doggies he's half blown up with his drones under the next stimulus.

For the record I'm not on Team Blue or Team Red thus give little to no sh1t about either of them and will happily call out Dillweed, Dimmy, et al. when they purposely lie about their team's stooge.

No problem. I intend to contribute $1000 to Obama-Biden 2012, already gave $100, so $900 to go over the next two months

Okay, let's see if you can actually talk policy fact. I'll bite:

Be specific - what part do you say is a "blatant, bold-faced lie". Talk about the policy points that you say are a lie.

Hint: this is already enshrined as law by the ACA, so there's not any "what if" out there or guessing possible, it's all reality

Here is Obama campaign rep Stephanie Cutter with an ad released today, with the details of what the Obama Medicare plan is, for your ease of reference:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QQxG...layer_embedded

Transcript policy points from Obama campaign from the video. Please point out which policy points are lies:
Quote:

President Obama's Medicare changes in Affordable Care Act, versus Romney-Ryan Medicare voucher program:

President's Medicare plan does not cut benefits one dime.

Instead, ends taxpayer subsidies to insurance companies and weeds out waste, fraud and abuse with saves the Medicare system $716,000 billion.

Paul Ryan liked the above so well, he kept those same savings in the Ryan Budget

That $716,000 was used in the ACA to expand Medicare benefits and strengthen the program, thusly:

- closed the donut hole for seniors, saving them currently $600 per year in prescription costs

Romney says current seniors won't notice anything different under his Medicare plan: Yes, they will, thusly:

- Romney will repeal Obamacare, which increases senior costs for paying out-of-pocket for wellness visits (currently covered)

- Romney plan adds that $716,00 billion in waste and fraud right back into Medicare system (by cancelling the savings) and then gives insurance companies $150,000 billion dollars

- Obamacare extends Medicare life by 8 years (according to Medicare program experts)

- Romney Medicare plan would bankrupt system by 2016, in 4 years (according to Medicare program experts)

Default Mitt Romney and his white board

Mini-Mitt Paul Ryan won't have to resort to code tomorrow when he speaks to a gathering in The Villages, not far from me. Don't look for any non-white or young faces, though; here's the breakdown of the population there:

" The Villages, FL, population is 12,842. There are 3,235 people per square mile (population density).

Family in The Villages, FL
The median age is 69.2. The US median is 36.6. 87.05% of people in The Villages, FL, are married. 3.53% are divorced.

The average household size is 1.81 people. 1.07% of people are married, with children. 6.16% have children, but are single.

Race in The Villages, FL
97.34% of people are white, 0.69% are black, 1.19% are asian, 0.05% are native american, and 0.73% claim 'Other'.

1.54% of the people in The Villages, FL, claim hispanic ethnicity (meaning 98.46% are non-hispanic)."

Hilarious; first I thought he was trying to channel Glenn Beck with that presentation, then when he used his hand to try and erase what he had written, I couldn't help but think how much better off he would be with an Etch-A-Sketch!

I laughed. I even felt a little sorry for him.

It was a massive fail, and a clear lie. The media has finally spent the last 24 hours revealing Romney is indeed lying about his Medicare plan.

Today the Romney camp is refusing to "detail" any more budget plans, because they would be "held to potential results"

Uh ... yeah. That's the kind of thing we make our voting decisions upon?

Paul Ryan already said this weekend he wouldn't release any tax cut details until "after we are elected".

This man Romney has been running for President for 8 years, and his campaign is an absolute disaster.

I cannot wait for "Game Change 2" to come out next year about this years presidential. It was great when it was about Obama, Clinton, Palin, McCain, Edwards ... this will be ever better!
