Default Dubai Carnival Contest

might as well starting this Thursday and culminating on the richest day in horse racing on 29th March.

prizes TBA...

Ill make this as easy as possible. One selection per race and an alternate.

1 euro/dollar/pound/dirham on each selection and the person with the highest return over the period wins.

Good Luck!

EDIT: all returns settled at UK Industry Odds and only the thoroughbred races count!!

Good idea.

Would love to be able to compete for all of it, but I'm not going to be able to near a computer much on a Thursday within a couple of weeks.

I will join in for the time I'm around, if that's okay. Hopefully I can manage a few weeks selections, even it it means posting them as soon as the final decs come out for the following thursday. Then I should be okay to post selections for world cup night.

A cut off time though! We need to have one... no?

Good old King Jock... did you see there's a Queen Jock entered in the Cocoa Beach race (R3?).

See..... I've forgiven him for trouncing my boy.

I'm guessing selections have to be in anytime before the start of the meeting, but Brock better make up the rules.

Yeah, Queen and King Jock. I will never forget that day when he beat Ace. Maybe I can find a replay somewhere

Ummm, he beat him twice... President's Cup and the National Day Cup or something like that.

Replays on the ERA site.

Personally I choose to remember Ace-ie as i saw him in person, with Kieren up, coming in 2nd when it mattered.

Maybe not today but he had a great win earlier at NAS.

Yeah, but he disappointed after that win. The main reason I picked him today is because he has dirt form.

Now looking at the dirt, it doesn't look sloppy at all.

On another point, in the contest I have selected to seconds so far

Well some people managed to show profits here and financially and so well done to them.

1= Hickory Hill Hoff +1.63
1= CowgirlinTexas +1.63 (both managed to pick the 2 Godolphin winners!)

3 Merasmag -3 (just picked the dirt races!)

4=Fmc123412 -6
4=My Miss Storm Cat -6
4=NoChanceToDance -6
4=BrockGuy -6

If there are any queries with the scores let me know. Many Colours' price was 9/4 (quite generous in the end!) and Fiesta Lady was 11/8

a bit messy today with Dubai becoming America and putting the turf races onto dirt - it will makes for some interesting races. Betting is a minefield today and I wouldnt be taking short prices on anything..

R2 Classy Lady alt Olympic City
R3 Olympic Glory alt Cocoa Beach
R4 Naipe Marcado alt Jonquil
R5 Rosberg alt Arabian Prince
R6 Boston Lodge alt Etihaad
R7 Almuraad alt Topor

Good Luck today.

Lets hope Rosberg can do the business today. I've made him my NAP

Like your selections. Classy Lady is still about 9/2, I think that is a great bet. I also like the two Olympic horses from Brazil.
