Default 7/26: Saratoga (Day 4-Whitney)

Friday proved to be a memorable day as post-scratch revision of early P4 yielded a $4,300 result on $96 play thanks to Mr. Jerkens' So Glitzy ($38) in the 3rd. This was a fortuitous score as it does not come off without the departure of One Caroline from the race which left it wide open in my opinion. Rest of the fun twilight afternoon was OK in spots too, and ended the day well keying runner-up Sweet Bama Breeze ("Best Value") in the nightcap. Hope you did well...

Plenty to get you involved at the windows with Whitney Day the feature of today's 'BC Challenge' racing, a $500,000+ C/O at Del Mar, and the Sixty Minute Six looking like a fun and worthwhile series...

SARATOGA RACE COURSE

POST-SCRATCHES

1st: NYB-ALW/N1X, 3+, 6f (P3, DD, Super)

Most Likely: #5 Rollers 9-5 2nd

Congratulations!! Steve!! Awesome job of handicapping and structuring your PK-4 ticket Fri. It was great listening to you on ATRAB (as always) yesterday and hearing the extra enthusiasm you brought to the show. Of course a PK-4 of any amount would put a little extra "pride in your stride". ..never mind a $ 4,500+ one! I was very happy for you. It couldn't happen to a more deserving guy for what you bring to the table here and on the show, and the hours you put in and the love you have for the game. As a novice in the game, and needing all the help I can get....your value plays and others have helped me more than a few times in putting together an exacta box. Keep up the good work and slam a few more of those sweet PK-4 tix!! Best of luck today..."Hit'm Hard..! "

Cooly, Gee, ibet...

Thanks so much for the exceedingly kind words. It's a pleasure for me to provide whatever it is I'm providing to so many fellow racegoers...

Good luck today!

When the stewards continue to allow horses to drift in and shut off the rail for a horse that's making a winning move, the jockeys on these horses have one of two options:

1) get bent over like a bitch --- the way Dominguez did today and on Good Request, when Castellano did essentially the same thing to him

2) bull their way through, possibly taking down the herding horse, and do the steward's job for them

Gotta give Coa credit however; he refuses to get bent over yesterday by Johnny V, bulling his way through with My Princess Jess, and bends Ramon over today.

I find the Whitney a skull-buster, so I can't play the Pick 4.

Pick 3
