Since very few pitchers average more than 6 IP that 1 in 9 number is not exactly accurate.
And considering there are exactly no good teams in the AL Central as of now the league difference isnt that big of a deal.
I am not knocking Verlander as I think he is great. But the assertion that he is clearly having a better season than Halladay is just not accurate.
