FRI - Breeders' Cup Day 1 - Santa Anita
Breeders' Cup - Day 1
Santa Anita R1 - OC 40k/N1X (Turf 6.5F) #5 Starry Skies (6-1) #4 Jade With Envy (12-1) #1 Mum's Truckee (8-1) 4TH #7 Night Song (GB) (3-1) R2 - G2 Las Vegas Marathon #4 Ice Cream Truck (8-1) #5 Big Cazanova (Arg) (5-2) #9 Cary Street (10-1) WON $7.80 #7 Sky Kingdom (5-1) 4TH R3 - CB Golden State Juvenile Fillies (2yo f 7F) #9 Tatum's Gold (8-1) 4TH #7 Ashley's Sassy (3-1) #4 My Fiona (2-1) WON $4.60 #1 Stormy Adieu (9-2) 3RD R4 - G2 Twilight Derby (Turf 9F) #8 Flamboyant (Fr) (6-1) - Expecting a bounce back performance. 4TH #11 Ring Weekend (3-1) - Has found a home on the lawn and has shown the ability to ship. #1 Sawyer's Hill (12-1) - Looks to be forwardly placed in a race that lacks front runners. 2ND #2 Talco (Fr) (8-1) - Should be able to save some ground from an inside draw. R5 - Damascus 100k #2 Midnight Hawk (7-2) - Training lights out for return and this looks like it will be his best distance. Malibu double looks very realistic. #11 Bahamian Squall (4-1) - Expecting a nice stalking trip from the outside draw and he's more than capable of firing a big one. 2ND #12 Unbridled's Note (8-1) - Returns to the dirt for 2nd off the bench. 3RD #7 Declassify (6-1) - G1 winner at the distance has fired off a layoff. PK5 - 1 4 5 7 / 4 5 9 / 4 7 9 / 8 11 / 2 11 = $72 for $.50 R6 - G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf (Turf 2yo 8F) #4 Commemorative (GB) (8-1) BEST BET - Improving colt should take another step forward from a favorable post in wide open event. #2 Daddy D T (15-1) - Draws well and will be making a late rally at a price. 3RD #14 Danny Boy (15-1) - Looking for Leparoux to take to the rail early before unleashing a late kick in the final furlong. #7 War Envoy (9-2) - Solid Euro connections have had success in this race and this one just needs a little pace to run at. #3 Luck of the Kitten (8-1) - Should take advantage of his early foot and is dangerous if left alone. 2ND PK4 - 4 7 9 / 1 8 11 / 2 11 / 2 3 4 7 14 = $45 for $.50 R7 - Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile #9 Tapiture (6-1) - Only dull race was the Derby and this fits him right between the eyes. 2ND #1 Goldencents (6-5) - Defending champ will be tough to reel in. WON $3.40 #8 Fed Biz (7-2) - Has enough speed to stay in touch with top choice, but must bring his A Game. #6 Golden Ticket (15-1) - Honest closer will need some to back up for his best. #3 Vicar's in Trouble (12-1) - Has a chance to hold on for a minor award. R8 - G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Filles Turf (Turf 2yo f 8F) #2 Osaila (Ire) (5-1) - Draws beautifully and should not have any issues with the two turn stetchout. 3RD #4 Lady Eli (6-1) - Was geared down near the wire after an electric turn of foot in G3 Miss Grillo. WON $6.80 #6 Sivoliere (Ire) (12-1) - Regally bred filly is moving in the right direction and is in very good hands. #5 Isabella Sings (12-1) - Expecting the draw alone to move her considerably. #9 Lady Zuzu (15-1) - Bred for two turns and she could take it to them early and often at a huge price. LATE SCR R9 - G1 Breeders' Cup Distaff #10 Untapable (5-2) - I wanted to try and beat her, but she's been training superbly and looks to get a perfect stalking trip. WON $5.20 #6 Stanwyck (20-1) - Consistent sort will be ignored at the windows and should get a similar trip to #10 Untapable at 20 times the price. #7 Don't Tell Sophia (5-1) - If they get silly up front, she'll be ready to pick up the pieces. 2ND #11 Close Hatches (3-1) - I know Keeneland favored closers in most recent meet, but that was a head scratching performance in last. #9 Ria Antonia (15-1) - Loved the way Paco rode her at Keeneland and I'm expecting similar tactics. 4TH Special Daily Double - Distaff/Classic - $1 DD - 6 7 9 10 11 / 2 6 9 11 12 = $25 $10 DD - 6 10 / 2 6 12 = $60 PK6 - 8 11 / 2 11 / 2 4 7 14 / 1 9 / 2 / 6 10 = $128 PK4 - 1 2 3 4 5 7 10 11 12 14 / 1 9 / 2 4 5 6 9 / 6 10 = $120 for $.50 PAID $78.85 x 2 = $157.70 R10 - OC 40k/N1X #7 Jimmy Bouncer (9-2) WON $7.00 #9 Demonic (8-1) #6 Rprettyboyfloyd (6-1) PK4 - 1 8 9 / 2 4 5 6 9 / 6 7 9 10 11 / 7 9 = $75 for $.50 PAID $45.25 x 2 = $90.50 Good Racing Luck

Best of luck today and all weekend!
Please check race 4, I think Talco is #2, not #3 as listed. In your Distaff/Classic double, for the $10 play, did you want #6 or #9 as listed? Thanks again as always and here's to a Monster BC!!! |
