Venue for Nov.29th ~ Aqueduct
Saturday lets go to Aqueduct for the Cigar Mile and 3 other graded stakes. The bad weather should clear out for the weekend but be aware that the turf course is getting snowed on today. Good luck to all.

That looks like a great race card. The Demoiselle is always a competitive race, the Cigar Mile has drawn a strong field as usual, and the Remsen is one of my favorite races. While this year's entrants are not really household names (yet), a two year old stakes race at 1 1/8 miles in November almost always includes a couple of runners who are going to make a serious impact on the Derby Trail.
RQ, like you I'm dubious about the three races that have been scheduled for the turf. For the past several weeks the racing secretary has scheduled races for the turf, and then they have been taken off. It's sloppy again today at the Big A. It looks as if the trainers are also dubious, since each turf race has more than a fair share of MTO's. By all means, check for scratches and surface changes. |
