Default Inflexible Flier? Liability threat threatens sledding..

http://www.economist.com/blogs/democ...meoftheunbrave

Very interesting -- and slightly exasperating -- Economist piece on the threat of liability issues that have municipalities with sledding hills and playgrounds running scared.

Kids today cant expierence the sense of accomplishment of sliding down a molten medal sliding board dodging the metal shards sticking out the bottom on a 100 degree August day.

America the weak-kneed hegemon risks losing the can-do, risk-taking, innovative pioneer spirit that made it the world's dominant economic and military power.
Great piece but I think the above summation has less to do with sledding and playgrounds and more to do with movement towards socialism that has been relentlessly pursued.

"Socialism" that term being stuffed down our throats by those in the oligarchy. Any thing other than the status quo is "Socialism" because it denotes people taking what you got. Never mind that those in the oligarchy are already doing that....

If the oligarchy is defined as the Federal Government I must somewhat agree.

What's horrible is our aristocrats include Bush's, Kennedy's and Clinton's and instead of blueblood running through their veins, it's ice. What else could explain Hillary crying broke tears and Bill writing off donated underwear?

For God's sake the government has squandered over $2.7 trillion from the people who not only need the money but are owed the money, our retired and retiring citizens to fund things like a study of why obese girls don't have sex.

Fat women aren't having sex because they have the freedom to be fat.

Western women don't want sex. Why? Because they're free.

The birth rates are higher in third world countries because they don't have a choice.

Western women prefer material items over sex.
