Well, thank god for that. The NYPD needs to make sure it's supplied with stuff to plant on innocents to make quota:

yeah, i saw he's leaving. comedy central can't be happy with colbert leaving, to find out JS is also moving on.
wonder who will replace...
as for other seriously troubling news:

http://www.arktimes.com/ArkansasBlog...-anti-gay-bill

it's crap like this that makes me ashamed of my adopted state.

i was pleased my state sen. voted against it...and i just wrote to the governor about it.

Classy of him to not mention it until after Colbert's show ended, so as to not steal thunder for Colbert's new gig.

I bet Comedy Central is annoyed now they didn't do everything they could to hang on to John Oliver.

i figure they'll find a more than capable host. several who come on there right now as contributors could probably handle the chores.
but, i do enjoy john stewart.
i've watched the nightly show...but have to confess, that when they break for commercial and 'up next, keep it100', i stop the playback and delete.

oh, how i miss colbert! but tonight...i will be soothed by watching the caps play san jose late this evening! already warned my assistant i may be late tomorrow!

yeah, it's breathtakingly horrible.

they want to say that religious freedom extends not only to being able to discriminate...but to even ban any communities from extending protection to classes not already protected. that last part is part of it because fayetteville had expanded their protected class... and now eureka springs has just done the same, hurriedly, to beat this bill.
but the idiot state senator who came up with it says eureka springs would fight and lose if they took it to court!
i find it stunning in this day and age, that not only do some people still want to hate others, but that they want it to be legal, to be state sanctioned!! i tell you, that article in the paper ruined my mood this afternoon.
i sent a link to a fellow who writes for an online magazine. he replied and said they would be covering it. i'm hoping if enough people see this stupidity, it'll get killed like some other bad bills states have come up with lately.

His show is supposed to be pretty freaking good. I haven't watched it yet (it's very hard for me to stay up late, unless I have a work deadline), but I loved, loved, loved the bit about the Supreme Court justices and the dogs.

Off topic but saw this story on eve news...over a parking incident..being Muslims had nothing to do with it

Quote:
In a statement posted online, Chapel Hill police said that "preliminary investigation indicates that the crime was motivated by an ongoing neighbour dispute over parking."

Call me crazy but I find stoning and killing gays and the financial support we give those who do much more troubling.

In comparison arguing and stressing about things like a gay wedding cake seems a bit frivolous and disingenuous.
