Default ROI Results 5/9 @ Belmont

Belmont Park on Saturday gave up a few winners but took more out of our virtual wallets. Can only hope
with a $200 stake next Saturday's Preakness will be kinder. 4 players made some cash on Saturday and
they were the only one's to cash a ticket. Swedejxn gets 4th place and caps off a good Saturday at Derby
Trails with a boxed tri in the featured Man O'War stakes. War Dancer and Hyper capped off a nice trifecta.
Arletta gets third and remains hot with a Pick 4 starting in race two which returned her $141 for a buck. A
lot of the "cash" this weeks stays close to home with NJ Stinks getting the number two spot by virtue of
a $52 win bet on Madefromlucky in race 3 for a return of $11.40 for each deuce. The winner this week though
stayed ever closer to home as yours truly gets the ROI win. Real Quiet cashed two exacta keys and proved
its Bettortobeluckythangood. RQ's key horse won and the favorite finished second for what would have been
a less than stellar exacta. The fav was taken down and placed last putting an 11-1 horse second and giving
out a nice $72.00 mutuel. As luck would have it the fav caused my third horse to fall so karma was with me.
Following are the unofficial results pending a trip to the detention barn for RQ who hopes beer doesn't
produce a positive. Hope to see you all at the Preakness next Saturday.

WIN... Real Quiet... +$317.80... R4...$14 ex 1-5 $7.90 X 7... $55.30
R5 $10 ex key 8 with 1-9 $72.50 X 5... $362.50

PLACE... NJ Stinks ... +$196.40... Race 3: $52 to win on #2 $11.40 X 26... $296.40

SHOW Arletta... +$41.00 R2) $1 Pick 4 6,10,12/1,2,4/1,5/7,8... $141.00

SUPER... Swedejxn... +$29.75 ... race 9 2-3-4-6 $1 tri box... $125.75

DQ, you have to be talking about Dairy Queen, right!!! Down here in Texas and the rest of the south that's what DQ means.

You're absolutely correct, RQ. How did you know? On road trips, we install a special device that causes our car to take exit ramps which have a DQ nearby, primarily to have a Blizzard fix. I can still recall a cherry chocolate chip blizzard in Myrtle Creek, Oregon that was the high point of the long drive down I-5 toward Crater Lake. Yumm.

As for the other kind of blizzard - I've forgotten all about last winter. Warm weather is here, the lilac bloomed just in time for me to gather a bouquet to greet my wife on Mother's Day, and all is right with the world. Until next winter........

Are you telling me they have DQ's north of the Mason-Dixon line. Now that's just ridiculous. The DQ slogan is and sung "DQ, that's what I love about Texas". But maybe they change the state name all over the country? And the first DQ was located in Illinois . . . and all along I've been brainwashed to think it's a Texas eatery hard core. Texas can't claim everything even though we like to. A

And I really do miss Lilacs . . . really I do!!!
