![]() The Preakness card at Pimlico on Saturday was a boon to some and a bust to others. All four payout
slots were filled and 7 tickets were cashed, one being a "signer". American Pharoah took the second leg of the Triple Crown and Tale of Verve finished second and threw a monkey wrench in more than a few tickets save one. Plenilune and Swedejxn cashed tickets but couldn't hit the board. 4th place went to Cruzan who had a win ticket on Woodwin in the 4th, a 6-1 ML horse who dropped to 7-2. 3rd place goes to Ruffian who was one of the few to tab Tale of Verve at a place mutuel of $19.00. Good call Ruff. 2nd goes to one of the hotest cappers on the board Arletta. Arletta hit a pick 3 as usual and a win bet to boot on Ironicus to finish up $105 on the day. Sadly Arletta you cannot spend the extra $100 you didn't wager on the card. That cash reverts to the emergency fund for our handicappers who cannot afford to get home after losing all $600 in our ROI Triple Crown contest. I myself am 2/3's of the way there and its a long walk home from Belmont. This weeks winner won with style and broke his maiden in the ROI easier than American Pharoah in the Preakness. Indian Hemp is his name and a superfecta wager was his game. IH boxed four horses in the Gallorette and the resulting super paid $871 for a buck. Nice hit Indian Hemp and congrats on the win. Kudos to Indian Hemp for also owning American Pharoah in a fantasy league I participate in. Following are the unofficial results pending any objections. See you next weekend where Ruffian leads us.
