Latest WIRED article: "Science says AP won't win..."
Proof that we are in that silly season, when the peanut gallery runs the press coverage.
Article here: http://www.wired.com/2015/06/science...-triple-crown/ Basically, the article, in no particular order: 1. agrees with Steve Coburn's post Belmont remarks of last year 2. Blames lasix for hurting the horses 3. Cites physiology of what all horses do in a race in terms of energy consumption, as part of "proof" that one specific horse, American Pharoah, can't win the Belmont. Normally "non sequitur" arguments are to be avoided, not printed. I hope people read it an believe it, raising the odds on the win pool and the A.P./ALL/ALL trifecta when it pays out. |
