![]() Off to the East Coast for two weeks tonight. Giving it one last go. SCRs ravaged my picks...
Race 1: #1 Leflore County: Shows up with the blinkers on and sports a 47 3/5 gate work. Will use the inside to his advantage and will be the one to run down. #3 Promise and Hope: Drops into MCL off a decent performance in live race after having excuses in some of his prior races. However, never less than 47-1 and will be much less than his 4-1 ML. Value potential just doesn't seem there. #8 Call Daddy: Second in his two dirt sprint MCL tries, but those were against small fields and it feels like those were his chances. Better than the rest. #6 Autumn Ember: Like him getting back to a dirt sprint and he can juice up the exotics. Race 2: #11 Got Winged: Drops into MCL in the third start of his form cycle. His races here in the fall are more than good enough in this spot. #10 Hundred Percent #8 Frisky Magician #9 Bustin the Bank #7 hasn't posted a work since being a Vet SCR on May 23...another red flag. Race 3: #6 Kathy's Reward #1 Culminating #3 Coral Beach #7 Saluda Originally liked #4 but Vet SCR a week and a half ago...wonder if Dorochenko is pulling a fast one with #5... Race 4: Two major speed players SCRed... #7 Royal Air Raid: Even though she is a 4yo there is improvement to come in her second start. Long on the turf is what she wants and Beato to Lezcano is a huge plus. #12 Confessa #11 Sweetdreamsaboutme: Her best turf runs have come with a hot pace. They could still go fast. Don't think she was fully ready for the return. Feron had a bomber the other day that ran great from the clouds given the pace so I'm not reading too much into her record this year. Can't argue with the price she'll be. #13 Millpoint Creek #9 Smilingsundae hasn't run since the tail end of the Saratoga meet. On paper those runs seem good but those were some terrible fields and now shows up in MCL. I'm not convinced. #3 is another that looks the part on paper but I don't like her work pattern compared to what it was for her debut. Race 5: #8 Shore Runner: Turf form last year more than good enough here. Two big dirt wins at Tampa and 4th last out against some quality dirt sprinters. Bug claim helps. #9 Thomas Hill: Will improve second off the layoff but Bruce is still ice cold on the win line. #7 Guggenheim #2 Sandy'z Slew #1 dangerous if handling the green, but that's a big if. Race 6: #7 Defining Product: Never out of the money prior to heading to Fla. (and never in the money off the grass). Plausible that he didn't care for the quirky GP turf. Didn't like the ride when returning to NY and given no hope when getting too far back in a quick time last out. Big upset chance. #11 Moon Over Cuzco is SCR... #10 Cleancut Kid is SCR... #12 Three for Me #9 Papa Tom Race 7: #10 Bedouin Now is SCR... #9 Snake Pit is SCR... #11 Matt and Jesse #12 Moneyinyour Pocket is SCR... #3 Divine Child #6 Becker's Galaxy Race 8: #5 Dorsett: Form from last year blows these away. Not a presser so the return "flop" doesn't mean much. Hasn't won since August '13 but most of those races were much tougher. #7 Slim Shadey is SCR... #1 Blacktype: Luckless against these last out, but can you trust Irad on the rail again? #6 Iron Power: Has a chance to take them all the way. #3 Abtaak: Still might need one. Race 9: #8 Irish Laughter is SCR... #7 First Service #2 Dacoma #5 Forma's Joy #4 and #6 underneath... $0.60 Pick Five Race 1: 1, 3 Race 2: 8, 10, 11 Race 3: 1, 6 Race 4: 7, 11, 12 Race 5: 2, 7, 8, 9 $86.40 $0.60 Early Pick Four Race 2: 8, 9, 10, 11 Race 3: 1, 6 Race 4: 7, 9, 11, 12, 13 Race 5: 2, 7, 8, 9 $96.00 $0.60 Late Pick Four Race 6: 7, 9, 12 Race 7: 3, 11 Race 8: 1, 3, 5, 6 Race 9: 2, 5, 7 $43.20 Good luck!
