![]() For all the fanfare, once again showed nothing today. Maybe racing isn't this horse's cup of tea?

![]() He would fare better in a 9 to 10 furlong race where he can lay closer to the pace with his lack of speed. He also has a late developing family, as Zenyatta never even debuted until December of her 3 year old season, so maybe he can turn things around eventually.

![]() Into what group? The 'just not that good' group? A G1 winner (and G1 placed in the BCJ) in the same club as Cozmic One? That's a headscratcher. A look at what he did sure implies a horse with promise that had some sort of injury and was never the same again, possibly reaggravating whatever when he tried the Woody Stephens in his graded stakes comeback. Maybe his feet, he did have that quarter crack. I don't think I'd call that not good. He's certainly done more than beat 2 horses total in 2 maiden races.
Is it more that Cozmic One is slow or is it that he's a headcase? Both? I've heard of the 2nd. Not sure if this is the kind of thing that turf or gelding would help, but you'd have to think he's not justified being bred to anybody as yet. I'd be surprised if he gets it together on dirt as he is. Something's gotta give. |

![]() Of course he's not, but this is apples and oranges. You can't compare not good enough (or lacking in headcase-status to show that he's good enough) vs. not sound enough. It seems like Havana's issue is the latter.
