My favorite line from one of the owners... " Carpe Diem offers breeders a great opportunity with conformation, speed, and stamina all packaged within an outstanding pedigree. " She didn't mention the ability to race a whopping 6 times in his career before being knocked out by injury. Or maybe that's part of "stamina".

Jesus I expected TP to have this one rocking as a 4 and 5 year old...or at least be shelved for the rest of this year, race twice at gulfstream including a 145 Beyer, then run like a Nebraska bred 9-year-old in start #3...THEN retired.

For being a $1.5mil auction buy, he pretty much got that money back in those 6 starts. Too bad Derby was a clunker
