Default Joe Biden on Colbert

Excerpt from the full interview- Biden talks about his son Beau, and dealing with loss:

For those of us who have suffered tragedy too early in our lives (which, frankly, is probably most of us), it's a really moving six minutes.

About 10 years ago he was frequently interviewed by Hardball on MSNBC..always a great speaker...last nite talked about Beau and other tragedies, how he held together amazing.

The story about 4-year-old Beau, in a body cast, trying to help his brother heal from his head injury left me a weeping puddle. His candidness is often a punch line, since his foot often ends up in his mouth, but he really does come across in interviews more genuine than any other politician I can think of.

His first comment after this video question (from the primary debates in 2007) is hilariously on point:

I think he was right tho, as far as his part about why people run for office if you have to dissemble to do your job.
i mean, one must be one hell of a liar to even be able to lie to yourself!
