Default Kendrick Carmouche

Anyone know how he's doing? He was involved in one of the worst breakdowns I have maybe ever seen Saturday in the Woodford. I know that his mount Shore Runner had to be put down, but there has been no real word about Carmouche's condition. I hope he's doing well.

He's fine. Missing a couple days. That was a bad scene Saturday.

he was down for a long time but eventually got into the ambulance under his own power. last I heard he was complaining about chest pain.

I was trackside Saturday and it was a tough day. Lots of black clouds.

Amazingly, Speechify (who tumbled over the broken down horse) escaped with only a very minor scrape on her knee. She seems to have come out of it fine (per Team Valor newsletter).

Good news, I love Kendrick. He used to ride for me at Philly Park. I'd have a plug running and Kendrick would come out to the paddock and say "Joe, we're going to win today". I'd say "Kendrick, we're 40-1". But I loved the attitude and he rode my horses to be the best they could be.

I had a nice talk with him up at SAR and told him to stay in NY.

One of my favorite people. I'm so happy he's OK.
