Louisiana players?

Any Louisiana folks familiar with the races and aces OTBs? Are any of them nice? I went to the one on I10 and it was rough to say the least. Just curious if any near Lafayette are OK.

You mean the one at the Cecilia/Henderson exit?
It's nothing nice....truck stop area, ya know?
There's one in New Iberia but it's quite a drive from Lafayette.

Why not just go up to Evangeline Downs in Opelousas? It's a shorter drive there than it is to New Iberia

Best OTB options outside metro NOLA are racetrack ones. In Lafayette region, Evangeline Downs, Cresswell Lane exit, Opelousas, is top choice. Long-closed EvD OTB in Alexandria was dump.

I did Kentucky Derby day at EVD which strains its resources. Otherwise, good choice. Last advice, restrooms are bigger & cleaner in casino part of facility. I live about 75 minutes from there.

Dining treat for race tracker is Waffle House located in Walmart parking lot. On Cresswell between I-49 and EvD entrance road.

Thanks guys. I enjoy EVD. I just moved a few months ago and was curious if the OTBs were nice. Too bad it looks like rain this weekend. It looks like some fun live racing.
