Default Spot play Thursday Gulfstream

Race 5....
Azar.

Never been a fan and my buddy loved him last time and I didn't like him at all. He had a little bit of trouble, not that bad. But now he is 2nd off coming out of a race that was dominated on the front end. Bomb wired, another bomb ran 3rd after being close to the pace and the runner up was never more then 3 lengths out of it. He faded badly in the stretch finished last, but that helps the price Thursday. Pletcher is better 2nd back and the morning line chalk is first time Chad off a layoff and he looks vulnerable IMO. If Azar can get back to his Churchill race I think he wins at 10-1 and why would you not expect improvement 2nd start back as a 4yr old? If you go through his pps he has never been that good, but this field is soft and I would assume if he is ever going to fire a big race its Thursday 2nd start back vs a suspect field.
Thoughts would be appreciated.

In his last 3 races, he has been beaten by 21 of 24 hosses he has faced. You really want to wake him up against this field today ?
just talked to my brother about the race and he said your hoss was forced wide on clubhouse turn and looked like they just gave him one and even eased him late.

In the 7th race the 5 hoss turns back to his best distance and should run that Paco Lopez hoss down. Fade away

He's got some good numbers early last year with much better, a steady work tab into the last non effort(with a little trouble) 2 weeks into this, and Pletcher in the Florida sun.. I would not count on 10-1, maybe 5-1 or better but I would watch the board for clues. Brown's horse may need one and the rest IMHO are beatable. Interesting horse though. As stated, if there is a time to improve this may be it.
Wife was voted "Miss Ocean City" 30 years ago. So he's got that going for him.. With that and my eternal love for the Scat Daddy offspring I would be insane to not put a shekel or two on him..Should be fun to watch.

Sucks that he has the 7th best Jockey in the race on his back.

I guess sitting back and making one run was out of the question.no chance ride by mediocre jockey. He was awful though.
