Default need help

i thought on pick 3 if you get a scratch you get the post time favorite/
but in a pick 4 you get a consolation

i bet a pick 4 today at kenland starting in 6th
has the first 3 horses in and i had 2 horses in the last
the 8 and 10
they both got scratched
what happens then?

you get the post time fav which was the 6 horse in this case...if you had the P3, you would have received a conso

I know this probably doesn't do you any good,but.....
In California when you're betting the P-4/5/6 on the self-serve machines(on Calif. tracks) you can use a "SCRATCH ALTERNATE" selection in every race by simply pushing a button.
You can also use a scratch alternate option on the "bet" cards you run through the machines.
It's a great option for the player.
And of course the P-3's have conso's........some tracks still don't(Woodbine comes to mind, you get stuck with the chalk in the P-3's).
