Default Vexing Venue

Churchill & GP both have a couple of Stakes ~
With Derby so close, Churchill seems the obvious choice?

I'm re-posting an exchange that you and I had last week after I selected what RQ's son calls "Clown Town." There is more than a little irony in this.

No, I've never been to the races at Charles Town. Any time I get to that neighborhood, some magnetic force seems to draw me to the amazing town of Harper's Ferry, just a few miles up the road at the confluence of the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers"

You can't make this stuff up.

For what it's worth, I agree with Ruff's comment.

I know the area pretty well as I was the Proj. Mgr. for a project very nearby. Absolutely a beautiful part of the US and the meeting of the two rivers is quite a sight(site). Since I was there on business, I did not do any wagering but did manage to enjoy several adult beverages . . . just to be social of course!!! And having asked the question about next week, I now have to answer it.

PARX like Gulfstream has two $100,000 Stake races so that's my two cents worth. It's a track we rarely visit but it could be a valuable "race over the track" if we ever play the Pennsylvania Derby.

I'm past caring. If 6 horses can make it to 9 races it's fine with me. I'm still in recovery from Charlestown.
One request... Don't go to Louisiana. RQ will understand, LOL. End of the month bills help for trainers.

OK, Ruff's contest is at CD. We might as well go there if you want to get a look-see as to how the track is playing. Just a thought, anyway. Save on paying for more than 1 track for Pete and me and her.
Course, they will scrape down to gravel whatever the weather is.
