Default NYRA Now App

Anybody else having lag problems on the App video ? It seemed to be fine at Belmont. I'm getting freezes and delays at SAR. Actually accused wife of hogging my bandwidth, but was able to get decent video from TVG and Verizon Fios Mobile on computer. I'm stuck in the PA ADW abyss, so am only a non-wagering customer, but wondering if they choked back the pipeline.

I cant use it...also been having problems on they website with videos. I thought it was my Internet but then even at work with good Internet have lots of buffering.

I also see no settings to lower video quality.

They did have a selection on nyra.com to reduce definition, it's a bit murky now.

I was just wondering if they did bandwidth filtering on their non-members. Wouldn't surprise, as they restrict their late Pick 5. I'm not complaining, as I can't join NYRABets because of where I live. It's not like I live in a bad neighborhood, It's actually pretty nice. Most of the restricted areas are pretty dicey. Chester, where Harrah's is, is a nightmare.

Unfortunately, the law lets them restrict ADW betting through most of Philadelphia. TVG isn't the problem, they just sub-contract the Harrah's ADW. It's pabets.tvg.com and restricts tracks and wagers different to the main TVG site. It all goes through Oregon. Oregon handles more horse racing bets than any other state in the US and has no tracks.

Harrah's Chester is creepy. I feel like prey when I go there.

For the Saratoga meeting, I have been using the NYRA Channel over Roku as opposed to depending on the low-definition redistribution of the HD-NYRA signal on Cablevision (Channel 74).

The only issue with using Roku is that you have about 60 seconds of delay so if you are watching your NYRABets panel and the video, you need to be aware of when to get your bets made.

The Roku feed and the NYRA HD-Channel have been exceptional, but note that you do need to have a NYRABets logs-in. The video quality is a similar experience to the Saratoga Live program over MSG+/FS2.

You don't need a NYRABets account, you can access the video with just an email address and password.

Actually it's improved. No idea why, maybe they read Derby Trail. Better lately.

Understand and agree with the logic. 5 star effort by NYRA. I remember years ago when it was exclusive, now it is very inclusive. As it should be.

Hell, I used to have to drive to NY to bet those races.
