Default ROI Results 7/7 @ Belmont

It was a good day of racing at Belmont Saturday for Stars and Stripes Day with two of our
players running like Stars while The rest of us ran like Zebra's. 3 winning bets were made
with Don cashing two of them and getting second place. Don hit Gold For the King in the
second and Firenze Fire in the 6th to take home $295. Not to be outdone Cruzan takes
home the win with a monster place bet on The Lieutenant which paid $24 bucks for the
place payout. Cruzan has now zoomed into the plus side of this years ROI as he seeks
back to back wins. Kudos to both Cruzan and Don for finding those gems among all the
stars. Following are the unofficial results pending any objections. See you all next week
wherever Don ships us.

WIN... Cruzan... +$225.00... R9. 11 $25 Place $24.00 X 12.5... $300.00

PLACE... Don Guido... +$195.80... Race 2: $33 win 4 $10.20 X 16.5... $168.30
Race 6: $34 win 7 $7.50 X 17... $127.50

Joly B -$96.00

Ruffian -$100.00

Roamin -$100.00

Indian Hemp -$100.00

NJ Stinks -$100.00

Real Quiet -$100.00

Nice going Cruzan and I was hoping for a Sweep and a Repeat when I first saw your wager thinking it was a win bet . . . then I noticed you cunningly made it a Place bet and that's the way it goes.

Good choice, Cruzan.

I'm reminded of the voice on the phone in The Sting: "Place it all on Lucky Dan."

Yes, I've learned in my many years here on planet earth that following your gut is usually the best practice. Our gut, where would be without it?

"Total of $124,109 Bet To Win on Firenze Fire in Last 36 Seconds of Dwyer Wagering"

Nice hit Don Guido but weren't you cutting it a little close?

With 36 seconds to go you had the ROI win in the bag and then Firenze drops from 5-1 to 5-2 during the running of the race.

That happens all too often. I will watch the tote, wait until the MTP reads 0, decide that the odds on my selection are favorable, place the wager just before the load, and then watch my overlay become an underlay just about the first call of the race.

We always hear about the "late money", but where exactly does that late money come from? Is it program driven?

Yes OUCH! You mean when they left the gate. The odds can't change after the gates open or maybe there's a delay in the final odds that pop up after they are off, I guess. Yes, that's why I bet him at 5-1, to me having a very good chance to win. Oh, well, whaddaya-gona-do? Sometimes I surprise myself as to how racing "smart" I am, with a Jackie Gleason HARDY-HAR-HAR!!!

How can you watch the tote? On your computer?
