Just listening to Andy's segment right now, and I don't know what he's reading about Justify vs Accelerate debaters. It's not been my experience at all (though I agree on the Rachel/Zenyatta fan situation--the vitriol was very Z-centric). On the contrary, the Accelerate fans are taking a vote for Justify as an attack on horse racing's future as we know it or something. They're got a lot of anger about early retirements of 3yos they've built up over the years and are directing it at WinStar via Justify and often admit as much. I've seen articles that have nothing to do with Justify where people bring him up to slam WinStar, Baffert. It's gotten out of hand. Justify fans are getting defensive of him the way Rachel fans did feeling Zenyatta fans weren't giving her credit for her incredible accomplishments. I think he got the parallels wrong on that one.
