Default 3/30: Gulfstream (FL Derby Day; Rainbow 6 Force Out)

GULFSTREAM PARK

POST-SCRATCHES

3rd: MSW, 3yo, 1m (P3, DD, Hi-5)

Best Value ~ Spot Play: #2 Donegal Aces (6-1): Full brother to long-winded $1.2MM earning Hard Aces debuts for Gargan who has won with 3 of his last 5 first time starters. Gives away experience to several that have run well against the likes of Country House, et al, so price could hold..

9th: MSW, 3yo, 8.5f-T/60' (P6, P3, DD, Hi-5)

Rainbow 6 Force Out starts here..

Brutally tough start to sequence where coverage of nearly everyone is necessary to guarantee safe passage. Four first time starters (2 Casses for Barber/Oxley & Farmer, a Brown/Klaravich and Motion/Sam-Son) complicate matter. Watch board for clues..

Best Value: #2 Overbold 15-1 9th
Next Best: #10 Machine Learning 5-1 10th
Exotics Use: #7 Trashmanscoming 20-1 5th
Super Add: #8 Social Paranoia 3-1 WON ($4.20)
Hi-5 Play: #5 Blameless 30-1 6th

Most Likely: #9 Proctor's Ledge 4-1 2nd
Best Value: #2 Fire Key 10-1 4th
Next Best : #8 Andina Del Sur 8-1 3rd
Exotics Use: #5 Valedictorian 5-2 WON ($7.40)

11th: Cond. CLM, 4+, 7f (P4, P3, DD, Hi-5)

A lot of speed signed on here..

Exotics Use: #3 Gleason 5-1 2nd
Super Add: #8 Fast Pass 6-1 5th
Hi-5 Play: #1 Green Mansions 20-1 7th

12th: OC/N2X, 4+, 1m-T/60' (P3, DD, Hi-5)

Squirrely bunch. Along with the 9th, the most inscrutable event in the skein..

Next Best: #2 Tombelaine 9-2 WON ($21.00)
Best Value: #4 Space Mountain 15-1 3rd

Next Best: #4 Canessar 7-2 4th
Exotics Use: #9 Bigger Picture 6-1 7th

Same here. I boxed the 4 and came back large. I have seen it before when Steve comments that a race has him puzzled he usually comes back with a home run. Thanks big time Steve.

Guys.. Thanks a lot. Really glad you scored in the 12th! That was great. I was focused on the win side with the bizarre 3-2 on Pagliacci and Tombelaine's drifting up to 9-1. Watched the race with Gus and the first thing I said to him was 'Those are my horses and I didn't bet the tri. It's going to be huge'..

Tomm.. It's funny you say that, because I've noticed it too. I spent more time on the 12th than any other race, which kind of disproves the 'study long, study wrong' chestnut. I wish I'd spent more time on the feature. I didn't use Maximum Security on any ticket thinking he could only win with an easy lead and that didn't seem very likely... until the gates opened.

Hope everyone did well. Fun afternoon out at the Hallendale Beach Blvd. Shopping Center and Gambling Arcade.
