Default Handicapping Year End Wrap Up Here

After we see how the B.C. Card treated us, the year end stats, awards and comments will be posted here.

As we do every year we will take next week off so all can refresh. The winner of the B.C. Points contest will pick the track the following week to kick off the new handicapping year.

Thoughts, suggestions and helpful ideas going into next year can also be put up for consideration.

More to follow.

The 2019 ROI is in the books. Since 2009 we have had at least one player show a profit each and every year and sometimes multiple players. 5 players in that time period had plus $2000 years led by LW aka Little Watermelon (2013), Digger (2009), NJ Stinks (2009), Myrtle (2010) and LW (2012). From 2014 no one has finished over $2000 until 2019. This years winner and the only Call To Post player to show a profit was Roamin aka Tom. Roamin blew away our group with an ROI of 89% and a whopping profit of $4212 to set a new record eclipsing LW's $3010. Roamin also led the group with 9 wins tieing Ruffian (2016) and Real Quiet (2018) for most wins in a year. Tom's one place finish was against Ruffian who twarted his chance for double digit wins. Congrats to Roamin on a stupendous year and I know he had some coin on more than a few of his hits. He also had the only 3 plus $1000 days with weeks of $3320, $1090 and $1040. Indian Hemp had a nice $950 day and Ruffian had an $840 day.
Thought not making a profit, decent years were registered by Cal (-12%) and Ruffian (-14%). In mid September Ruff got into plus territory but tired in the stretch. Roamin had 9 wins, Real Quiet had 7, Ruffian added 6 and Cruzan chipped in 5. Joly B led the group by cashing in points 32% of the time while hitting the board 16 times. And Joly did it every way imaginable.
Supers, Tri's, Quinella's, Exacta's, Pick 3's and Pick 4's. The only wagers Joly couldn't master were the Grand Slam and the Kamloops over under septuple all in roulette wheel. The latter was probably due to the volatile fluctuations in Canadian Currency that always put his exotic arrays in a constant state of flux.
Congrats again Tom. While our 2019 contest year is over it is just a number. Stay hot with those picks and keep that streak going. Nicely played in 2019.

Congrats Tom on the ROI win.: May not be possible, but we'll all try to make it more interesting for you in the coming year. The way you were playing, I doubt you have anything to worry about.

Wonderfully impressive performance Tom. I know exactly where I want to be standing next time I go to the track - that's right behind you in line so that I can ask to teller to punch up "whatever the guy who was in front of me just bet." That could be the best way to a profitable day at the races.

Then I'll go and buy you a beer.
