Venue thoughts for January 22
The choice of venue for this Saturday is very clear to me, so I am posting this in case anyone wants to get an early start on handicapping.
With the Derby prep season moving into high gear, the choice for Saturday will be the Fair Grounds, featuring the G3 Lecomte Stakes along with a number of other stakes races. The card has already been drawn. The full race card includes 14 races, which I think is a bit too much for our contest. I plan to reduce that number to what I think would be a more reasonable number and will post the final race schedule in the next day or so.

Let's play 10...... that is, we will be playing the Fair Grounds, starting with Race 5 and running through the end of the card, finishing up with Race 14, the Lecomte Stakes. Post time for Race 5 will be 1:58 PM Central time.
