Not much going on this weekend - one of the few spring Saturdays with no Derby qualifying preps.

I suspect that we will be at the Fair Grounds next Saturday for the Louisiana Derby card, so that could be a venue to avoid this Saturday. Other than that, I'm not sure that any choice you might make is that much better than any other. I'll be happy to play any track you pick (I checked to make sure that Kamloops wasn't running before saying that).

By the way, good luck with your bracket picks if you are involved with March Madness.

You probably know my pick without my even saying it. Only two stakes there this weekend, but they may be the best at 200k and 500k.

Oaklawn looks like the best races up and down the card, Oaklawn it is. And there will be some 3YO's in the gates for you Ruffian. I'll put the threads up later today for a full 10 race card.

"Arkansas"

Took a Nine Eleven 'bout a hundred and seven down a back road
Where the white river runs and the southern sun makes the kudzu grow
And what I found in the Ozark mountains I ain't ever seen
It sure does feel like you're sittin' on top of the world to me

Gotta get down, gotta get down to Arkansas
Havin' so much fun that it's probably a little bit against the law
All the boys and the girls down there sure do know how to have a ball
If you wanna get down, gotta get down to Arkansas

Well, we burned through the one light towns like a scalded dog
When we lit out of Fayetteville, they were callin' the hogs
We made a pit stop in Little Rock for some barbecue
And when we hit West Memphis there were blue lights in our rear view“
