ROI Results 3/26 @ Fair Grounds
The Points Contest was a tough nut to crack but not so much the ROI. All four payout slots
were filled and two players made a profit but didn't hit the board. All and all 12 tickets were cashed and a group profit was made. No giant payoffs but a few astute bets. Eclipse takes the Super Spot by hitting all three of her win bets. The return on her wagers was $137 but she just couldn't add to her total with her exotics. Cruzan takes 3rd place by cashing his wagers in races 7 and 8. Place bets on Vinco and She Can't Sing were good enough for a profit of $72.50. Zippy continues his hot streak and takes second. Zippy hit an exacta in races 4 and 7 and added a show ticket in race 11. Zippy made a big run at this weeks winner but couldn't quite get that second place horse in the feature and fell a little short. Ruffian comes up roses this week with a win bet in race 5 and withstood all challenges. The Ruff One played Cosmic Train in the 5th and the typical Ruff payout of $26.40 was worth $343 on the day and gave her win #2 on our season. It also brought Ruffian into profitability for the year. Congrats on the win Ruffian. Nicely played. The next part of this narrative is directed at Don G. The "pugnacious" pony picker challenged me with his "enigmatic" wager in race 5. I finally figured it out and since it wasn't an "egregious" error, it just counted as a scratch. See that Don? If a tree falls in a forest it does make a sound. Anyway congrats to all the players who cashed tickets this week. 12 is a lot of winning tickets for us and our virtual tellers had to work for their virtual salary this week.
