ROI Results 6/11 @ Belmont
Belmont provided us with 10 winning wagers, 4 players that showed a profit and a few low paying
combo's due to small fields and scratches. Profits were made though and that's the bottom line. Cal had a pick 3 and Joly a trifecta and exacta but both fell short of the leader board. Eclipse takes the super slot by cashing tickets in races 6 and 11 and a profit of $14. Plenilune takes 3rd place and also had two winning bets. The best one was Casa Creed in the 8th. That bet returned $195 and to make sure profitability ensued Plen added Nest in the feature and soared to a $74.50 profit. Roamin takes the number two spot with a win bet on Mo Donegal in the test of champions. A mile and a half suited Mo and Ro just fine. The $7.20 win payout got Tom a return of $360 and a $160 profit on the day. The Belmont afternoon however belonged to Zippy. He played four win place combo's and cashed all of them. And he needed them all to prevail. Cashing tickets in races 1, 2, 5 and 11 returned to the Zip $383.75 and the win. His best return was Fearless in the 5th, a winner at a mile and a half with a win price of $9.30. All four cashers liked the 12 furlong distance races to some extent. Congrats on the Belmont win Zippy. Nicely played. Following are the unofficial results pending any objections and if there are any errors let me know. Those $200 days complete with scratches are headaches. See you all next week wherever we may roam. The scent of Saratoga is in the air. Not quite on the horizon but soon people, soon. Once again, congrats to the Belmont cashers. WIN... Zippy... +$183.75... Very nice plays Zippy and the others in the top 4. You are right RQ, those $200 days are a killer.

RQ, I must applaud the efforts you go to when scoring the ROI contests, especially on those $200 days. It must be a real chore to track down things like late scratches, especially when they could be the post time favorite and therefore affect multi race bets.
Thank you for all of your efforts - I'm sure that you are glad that we won't have any more $200 ROI days until the BC. |

Now you got me thinking JB. Was anything affected by the Zulu Alpha scratch?

Nothing that would change your scoring. If someone had played a pick 3 that started with race 1 or 2, the scratch of EZ would have moved those bets to the PTF in Race 3, but none of our players attempted that.
