![]() My family and I have been to Saratoga many times, but never for Travers weekend. I feel like this coming Saturday is a completely different animal than anything else we have experienced. What is the best practice to secure a good backyard spot?
We'll be staying in town at an airbnb, but it's about a mile from the track. We already have GA tickets and trackside parking. My mother is in her early 70s, and my OLDER sister and I are in our 40s. We do not need a picnic table, but we'd like to secure some space in the backyard for a home base. Does my sister or I need to go to the track at 7 am to plant the flag, or can we arrive around 830-9 am (or later) and still find an area? |

![]() Get here as early as you can to put down blanket and chairs. The picnic table rush grabs a lot of real estate, but there's always a spot to carve out. Do think it's going to be a capacity day, so the earlier you can get here the better. You don't have to stay either. You get set up and come back later in the morning..
