Finally. Of course they wont start that till after Derby, but I'm glad to see they are going to have this option now. I don't normally bet supers, but now that it will be cheaper, I can. Yay!

I hope that they still don't allow them on the Derby next year because it would be a logistical nightmare for people getting bets in on time. Maybe it's just me, but Arlington Million day is horrific enough with people punching in their 10 centers.

They need to have a special window for these bets only (of course it would probably be out into the parking lot as long as it takes). The number of combos involved, people not being ready to bet... nightmare affair.

They are a neat bet for a little investment...and remember, there is such a thing as a SAM machine!
I rarely go to the window at the track or OTB anymore...you make a mistake...it's your own fault.

Those machines are the absolute worst for these kinds of bets -- as they are the type of bet that are often appealing to low-investment players who are often not as familiar with how everything works and they are excited that they can play a bet some variation of a dime. Getting stuck behind those people at those machines on a busy day at the track is a deathwish for getting your wager in.

If you don't know who you like with five minutes to post wagering a small
amount of money...I guess the track isn't for you.

personally...one should be ready with thier wagers in plenty of time...so they don't get shut out.

No, I'm not saying that they're a bad wager at all, just that I don't think they're a good idea for major racing days.

Arlington Million day is fresh in my mind last year getting shut out on a race after being third in line at a machine with seven minutes to post. Of course you can't know who is going to be playing what ahead of you in line and as you're waiting, the other lines grow longer with last-minute bettors, so you get stuck in the line you choose on a day with a large number of people there.

That's all I'm saying -- thinking that watching the odds until seven minutes to post would be plenty of time to get a wager in and then getting stuck behind someone trying to enter a bunch of $.40 supers who doesn't know what they're doing but can't resist making half-dollar bets. Imagine with 100,000+ at Churchill...

I do see your point...but, any "big race" day...the lines are long. I don't think adding this wager would make them any longer.
This wager is a perfect way to make "big" money in races like the Derby...without going broke.

Seems to me that they have advance wagering on the big races,don't they? If you want to brave 100,000 crowd bet your supers online,and if you want to plunge on something at the track, then you have plenty of time!
