Manley probably wanted to make jockey porn films for the extra income he talked of bringing in and Jesse wanted to know why there weren't more black jocks, owners, announcers etc etc etc.
Probably bugged him that hispanics get all the work and why they don't have black humans working with dark colored horses.
Only good thing that would have come of it was Jesse being out of town more often. Only reverend I know of who suffered no negative consequences having a child out of wed lock with a woman younger than his children but I guess I'm getting racist now.

Are you kidding me? Jackson doesn't eat anything but "five star restaurant" quality food.

now Manley's attorney is saying he accepted the guilds last offer ... Johnny V. doesn't know anything about it.... but Guild attornery Tom Kennedy says they withdrew the last offer... Manley apparently is accepting the offer before... Kennedy says he doesn't know what's going on...

Stay tuned for the next installment of as the guild turns!

What a joke. Now he says he took the last offer. Who in the world would take a job when he's not wanted? Cannot imagine him being a good fit. The Guild should just stop taking his lawyer's calls and it will end.

oh boy....just saw on t'bred times that he accepted. yikes. i was bummed out by the news, but that was tempered by the great news about barbaro!

so, they withdrew, and now he's claiming to accept the last offer??? this is NOT GOOD. the guild can't win for losing. why in the world did they dump the guy who came in after gertmenian??

i don't need a crystal ball to see litigation in the future over this.

Freakin pathetic! The guild may have to "buy" him out... they really put the screws to them... going behind the Guilds back and saying they accept after the jocks withdrew the offer.... weasle mother*******'s ... sorry the racetrack part of me has come out!

i felt from the get-go that this was a rotten, horrible move. times like this that i wish i was being proven wrong.

that sound you hear is the final nail being hammered into the coffin known as the jockeys guild. they can't seem to find a way not to keep shooting themselves in the foot. not sure tho that this will fly, manley 'accepting' an offer that was no longer being offered. i suppose it's too much to hope for that he'll just go gently into that dark night....

Damn! I was so happy until I got to the bottom of the thread. What the hell is going on? Are they buying him out or will he head the guild? Samm, is there an update that I can get on todays archive? I missed the show. Please get rid of these MFers while you have the chance. Hey JV they're going to make you look real bad. Do the right thing and dump these guys.

I'm completely deflated.... they were doing the right thing by withdrawing the offer... but the slimball seeing that they were wising up gets his attorney to call thoroughbred times and say they accepted.. So what do the jocks do... they folded... [url] I can't help them anymore... I have been working on this since last year... hoping good things would come.... just cracked a bottle of Russian vodka that my daughter brought home from her tour of duty there... I should be drinking to celebrate... not escape!! almost a waste of the good stuff.. but I gotta do it. just don't call me til at least noon! lol

JV-I'm losing a lot of respect for you. You sound like you don't even know what's going on half the time when you speak about these matters. That's not what a leader does. Your a good jock but a joke as a leader.

Samm-Thanks for all your hard work with this story. I wish there would have been a happy ending. Oh well. If I sound defeated it's because I am. I fear what this could turn into for everyone involved in this industry. Not just the jocks.

Hey JV
As a leader, it's your job to keep everyone in the guild informed. You have an obligation to reach out and pass along info throughout all the jocks rooms. You should have made it clear to all involved that it is their duty to make sure they understand their options. Most didn't have a clue what was going on. It was up to you to make sure they did. You failed them. You might say you tried but leaders aren't elected to just try. That's just an excuse. Why am I wasting my time. Nobodys listening.
