![]() You had to like Flying Spur, didn't you?
She's doomed to lose now, and I was really hoping this would be a good filly, as her dam is one of the great fillies of the last 20 years. |

![]() What about the 6th ? I have narrowed it down to 4, I know thats a lot but they do offer the 2 50 cent wagers tomorrow.
I hope/pray they pound My Pal Charlie... Last yr's 3yr olds were horrible, worst I have ever saw. All of this horse's close races were against restricted company, He did not face elders to the Breeders Cup race, where he did run ok that day, but that was over a synthetic surface, also IMO that was a pretty shitty group that day, Well Armed was chalk, and he came back to do nothing, I know the winner came back to win The Donn, but he also had a big trainer change, and did not really blow anyone away in that race, I belelive it was a 101 beyer. I get the feeling a horse like Grasshopper could easily run a 101 in here. I could be way off w/ this one, but for me he is the biggest toss on the card. Any opinions on him our this race ? Maybe I was premature calling the 8th a 2 horse race. I think War Tigress, also has a shot, at what should be a very good price. I will guess, 8-1 at post. Mineshaft - My Pal Charlie has the class, Honest Man may be the only real speed. FG H - JImmy Simms, a new 4yo who likes the track, is clearly lone speed in here and the course has been kind to that sort lately. Silverbulletday - Sheesh, how many front-runners/pressers are signed on here? Just Jenda does look like she can sit and pounce; only defeat at a bullring. Risen Star - Off the layoff? Horses in good form? Horses with excuses last out? Jumping up maiden winners? Could Soul Warrior be a rabbit for the Assman's other horses (PVal on)? Picking 3yo races this time of year is such a pain. Think I'll stick to the maiden claiming races; THOSE I can pick. Last edited by Pedigree Ann : 02-07-2009 at 02:39 PM. |

She broke through the gate before the start, then had trouble at the start, with it looking like she stumbled. |

![]() I'm thrilled War Echo won the Silverbulletday - did she look good? Thanks!
Friesan Fire ran well today - I wonder if he really wants to go 1 1/4, but he is talented and hard-knocking. |
