There are only 4 track records standing from the 70's:
General Assembly; Spanish Riddle; Topsider and Darby Creek Road

Did he successfully have his leg amputated? I can't find PP's for these horses!

You said 30 years or so ago....only other horse close to that was Winter's Tale.

He raced in Europe, I think England, like a week or so before setting the 6 1/2 Furlong record on, I believe, August 1 1979. I think Tilt Up was second.

Decades.

I always remember Tilt Up because Marty Katz, another racetracker who is sorely missed, had me give him $10 on Seattle Slew's Belmont Day to bet him when he debuted the following week.

Marty was strong even in 1977.............Tilt Up paid $4.20.
