Default One of the Best all time racecalls

Golden Gate
Race 9
Sun, Mar 28, 2010

The pedestrian running of this race leads Mike Wrona into a very creative call of this race. If you have replays you have to catch it.
26.4, 51.12, 1:15, 1:41.04, 1:53.87

Strange that a 9/5 choice was being strangled by the jockey when the fractions were 26 and 51.

What was strange was you actually had a horse 15 lengths off of the leaders off of that slow pace causing Wrona to rather hilariously say"....couldn't shoot the leaders with a cannon".

"Might make it home by first post Thursday".

I've come to enjoy his calls quite a bit about horse names that make it clear why "racecallers drink" and another runner running off like he had a "Toyota Gas Pedal."

Wrona was spoken to once for saying that a longshot leader who sprinted clear at the top of the stretch was "staying like a mother in law!" He is hilarious.

That's because R Baze didn't have a mount in the race. Who needs apprentices to force the pace and collapse races needlessly when Baze is around?
