My Daughter's Picks
Derby picks.
Final Analysis of All Factors Sidney’s Candy Looking at Lucky I like either Jackson’s Bend or Noble Promise for third. I might put money on Noble because I like how he runs up on Looking at Lucky but my first pick when looking at the form for the first time was Jackson so I would have to make a last minute judgment call. Feel wary of Devil May Care (for all I know he could win the race. I don’t have time to look over his times but that might be a good idea). I’d put a exacta box on Sidney’s Candy and Looking at Lucky with Noble Promise and another exacta box on Sidney’s Candy and Looking at Lucky with Jackson’s Bend. Analysis Broken Down On Performance Best Sidney’s Candy Conveyance Jackson Bend Mission Impassible Looking at Lucky Nobel’s Promise Awesome Act Worst Make Music for Me Deans Kitten Stately Victor On Jockey’s – only list best jockeys Looking at Lucky Line of David Stately Victor American Lion Pady O’Prado Devil May Care Conveyance Jackson’s Bend HomeboyKris On Who Beat Who Analysis Sydney’s Candy beat Looking at Lucky by a lot. HomeboyKris has been beaten by both Jackson’s bend and discretely mine Backtalk beaten by American Lion, Noble’s Promise and American Lion Dublin was beaten by Line of David, Supersaver, Looking at Lucky, Conveyance Discretely mine and homeboykris. Awesome Act was beaten by Jackson’s bend but finish times were close. Discretely Mine was beaten by Mission Impazible, Homeboykris and Dublin Mission Impazible beaten by Conveyance and Dublin Jackson’s bend has not been beaten by any of these horses. Jackson raced/beat Awesome Act who was third but times were close btwn all three finishers Conveyance Has not been beaten by any o these horses (beat Dublin only by ¾ length) Devil May Care – has not raced any of these horses Paddy O’Prado was beaten by Stately Victor and Deans Kitten (however Paddy beat Deans Kitten by 2 1.2 lengths in another race). I think he and Deans Kitten are kind of close in terms of talent but neither is that great and Paddy O seems a bit better than Deans Kitten. Make music for Me was beaten by Looking at Lucky, Noble’s promise, Stately Victor and Paddy O’ Prado, (Looking at Lucky will definitely beat this horse). American Lion was beaten by Sidney’s candy.( beat Back Talk) Stately victor was beaten by Nobel’s Promise (beat Paddy O’ Prado). Thinking he is not as good as Noble’s Promise. Line of David never beaten by any of these horses raced and beat Supersaver and Dublin. Supersasver was beaten by Homeboykris, line of david, and discretely mine. Nobles Promise – consistently beaten by looking at lucky, also beaten by supersaver and Dublin (strange). In the race where he was beaten by both Supersaver and Dublin he had a bump start that could have thrown him off. He beat Dublin in another race where there was no bump start. Ice Box has been beaten by Jackson’s bend. Looking at Lucky beaten by Sidney’s Candy by 6 lengths! Eliminate HomeboyKris Backtalk Dublin – for sure eliminate Discretely Mine Mission Impazible Conveyance Make Music for Me Paddy O’Prado Deans Kitten Stately Victor Supersaver Keep Jackson’s Bend – good record (beat Awesome act so higher standing in my analysis than Awesome Act). Has a good jockey as well. Sidney’s Candy – good record/ good blood Looking at Lucky - good record/ good blood/ good jockey Ice Box – who beat who analysis ( I don’t know about his jockey, also I don’t see anything that makes me think he has any outstanding performance. My take is that he hasn’t been beaten by these horses because he hasn’t raced against them. He was beaten by Jackson’s Bend. Noble’s Promise – good record. He seems to run right up close with looking at Lucky who I think is one of two best horses in this race. The one race where he was beaten by some lower scum was one where he was bumped so I think he is still a major contender. American Lion – good jockey/ who beat who analysis (Sidney’s Candy raged on him beating him by over 4 lengths, he did beat Back talk, who sucks, but only by 2 lengths – not bad but not great). Devil May Care – who beat who analysis. This horse is a mystery to me. He hasn’t raced any of the horses in this race and has a decent record. He has good blood. Not sure what to think of him. He could surprise us. Awesome Act – good record (was beaten by Jackson’s bend and seems to have lots of technical difficulties in his races). Line of David – good jockey/who beat who analysis. I think he can be eliminated based on the fact that he only beat supersaver by a head and supersaver is not all that great as far as I can tell. It is just not good enough to win. |

That's the beauty of it.
My daughter doesn't know that nor what anyone else is saying. It's totally objective. She knew nothing about these horses before reading the pps. |
