![]() Ok, glad to see Ironman Jon back in action, though I would have preferred to see him in NY-bred stakes first

![]() Ironman Jon. I mean, the horse just did beat Justin P, and definitely has shown it can outrun a poodle on a fair track, by winning on the AQU Inner.

![]() Wouldn't have an open NW1X been a better spot, considering what he's faced in his two starts? The last couple of years Schwartz/Hushion have tried this type of entry a few times with talented maiden/allowance winners (by way of example, Sammarco comes to mind), but with the exception of Stalingrad, they never seem to work out.

I will say that if Ironman Jon missed the Excelsior because of an injury then yes, this is an overly ambitious spot. However, if he's ready, I don't blame them for trying. That being said, I think he's up against it and will be surprised if Bribon doesn't win. NT |

Last year, people (not me) thought that Driven By Success was pushed unnecessarily into races like the Carter and Met Mile. Given where he is today, maybe they were right, and he had shown more than Ironman Jon before he made his first stakes start. |
