![]() You know how you could avoid that? Maybe try a harder race and ship?
A small field in the Vanity would not thrill trainer John Shirreffs, he said on Friday. "Races with bigger fields are truer races in the sense that everyone is riding their own horses," he said. "In a smaller field, jockeys worry about other horses and it can lead to funny outcomes." http://www.drf.com/news/article/113606.html |

![]() We chose to race in the easiest possible spot for our horse, but we're pissed that the field is very thin? Umm, yeah.
Here's hoping there is a "funny outcome." |

That was her most vulnerable spot. |

![]() She is vulnerable in the upcoming race. She has overcome a pace disadvantage in more than a handful of races against moderate competition.
St.Trinians at her best on an uncontested pace may leave Zenyatta too much to do. The Apple Blossom was not very impressive and she was lucky to find a way clear in her first race this year. I have a strong hunch this race will be her Waterloo. |
