![]() Can anyone explain why the following horses in Race 7 at Hollywood Park today (10/30) were not coupled as an entry?
1 Warren's Idol Own: Benjamin C Warren Trnr: Gutierrez Jorge 3 Warren's Flyer Own: Benjamin C Warren Trnr: Gutierrez Jorge Here is the CHRB rule on coupling, which to this layman seems to indicate that these two horses should have been coupled. 1606 Coupling of Horses. (a) Two or more horses shall be coupled as a single wagering interest and as an entry when such horses are owned in whole or in part by the same person or persons. (b) Subsection (a) of this regulation does not apply when two or more thoroughbred horses, each owned by different partnerships whose composition are not mirror images, are entered in the same race, and (1) There is at least one partner who has an ownership interest in each of the partnerships. |
