Default Gulfstream P6 to $26k; P5 pays $69k

Dime/Six claws its' way to $26k for Wednesday..

P5 pays robust $69k on strength of the 2 big numbers in the stakes..

I'm not sure how you feel, but the 50 cent P5 is a great idea.

I like it. I loved the Magna 5, and MTH's P5 confirmed the increment would work. You can get involved and be live for P6 payoffs at very modest investment.

And watch the Dime P6 and if it starts to perk interest as this number grows.

We still can't bet the 10 cent P6 here in AZ. We can bet everything else.

Why would encourage a wager that would doom the opportunity to capture dead pool money carryovers.. The point of the 2 buck wager is to make it difficult but worthwhile. At a dime it gets hit daily..no carryovers such

i don't think and i could be wrong that a single winner has hit it for the whole pool. There have been multi winners, but they only get to split 60% of the pool. The 40% carrys over.

no one has hit it and if more than 1 ticket does it carries.

15%. One winner of the $69k (65%?) and the rest (20%?) to consos.

Right. 15% gets taken out leaving a net pool of $93,140.45 of which 25% goes to the consos ($23,285) leaving about $69,153. If I remember correctly Monmouth doesn't offer a 4 of 5 conso. Clearly, on a day like today, that lone ticket holder wishes GP did the same.

I think Gulfsteam Park hit a home run with the 50 cent pick 5. The pool was over 100K on both Saturday and Sunday. Personally,I would not play a pick six on my budget of about 50 bucks but I got involved both weekend days at Gulfsteam with the pick 5. Gulfsteam got my action and looking at the pool, other players that that normally would not get involved in a multi race wager got involved.

The P6 works nowhere, besides California and to a lesser extent New York.

That Gulfstream P6 is probably gonna be hit 3-4 times the whole meet, if that, and it gives that lottery type feel. I doubt I would ever play it because I don't consider myself lucky, and you have to be good and very lucky to hit this and swipe the whole pool. Although, there is a certain allure to swipping the whole pot.

That P5 will carryover and at 50 cents it can still get expensive. They have that structured perfectly IMO
